These are absolute beauties!!!I’m not kidding when I say I’m STILL heartbroken that The WandCo no longer manufactures these. I also - STILL - carry my 10th Doctor Uni Remote Sonic with me everywhere and have integrated into work as an actual & useful tool - we have a variety of system and patient trackers around our campus and if one goes off due to power, wonky reboot, etc I can quickly and assuredly turn them back on quickly and without having to fetch the proper brand of remote nor do I need a ladder from Maintenance if the remote can t be found or the wrong one is grabbed or the universal remotes batteries died and didnt get reprogrammed with the proper codes…it truly is wonderful for just this one function (ie “FX Mode” and 4 pressses and hold! Also does wonders at Walmart electronics dept’s wall of TV’s just4 presses and hold and waving that around…LOL!!! Seriously tho, someone rich or that knows a lottery winner NEEDS to do a special run of these amazing devices again so I can grab 4-5 for posterity. And make a 4th Doctor version! And keep the manufacturing alive because its too dang depressing to think mine might break down or worse get broken or lost at some point!!!! Come on Wand Co and/or WealthyFans, we desperately need these produced again, and this is from the one fesature - there’s a ton of other features and even more modern ones could be added for an up to date truly astonishing device that literally allows a person to CosPlay everyday at work and being a far better employee for it!!! :-) :-) :-)

There is something I just love about the 9/10th doctor’s sonic screwdriver. It’s not all big and clunky like all of the other ones. It looks like an actual scientific gadget and has a sleek design.

Big and clunky would only describe two out of all of them and this is the second most flashlight looking out of all the Sonic screwdrivers other than the second doctors which was literally a flashlight in fact I had a flashlight of this screwdriver came with the vortex manipulator

Those custom 9th Doctor sonics are impressive. Fingers crossed Rubbertoe do a 9th Doctor's sonic next! Looking at the Rubbertoe replica, the shade of grey they used reminds me of the one used in "The Eleventh Hour" Wonder if that was the look they were going for.

I would hope for same. And, you are correct about the the bluish grey. I have the Rubbertoe 10th (#14) and it’s color is very similar to my Celestial Toystore Eleventh Hour sonic. All my other CT 10th Sonics are more grey (or 9/10th Aztec).

If celestial toystore brings back the 10th dr sonic , the don’t have to drill a hole in the acrylic tube, instead , scan the acrylic tube and 3D print a clear plastic one , cheap but prevents cracks

Love that aztec did it extend with the CO sound board id so how did you get that and the wires to fit. I've done a couple customs but can't get them to extend due to space and can't wait for my rubbertoe sonics

Ryan Collins Thanks man, yeah originally I had a CO board that I’d taken from a standard 10th Sonic Screwdriver toy installed but it was just hanging loose inside as I had to remove the plastic wand company internal section so it’d fit, then eventually some of the wires broke off so I just removed the board completely and wired it up without it so it just lights up. I’ve recently ordered a new Aztec Sonic so I might make this one a custom too! 😎

@@SameSonicDifferentCase yeah thats what I first used but the 10th board i used was the one from the new 10th with the 4 different sounds with im not the biggest fan off but had the issue with the worse breaking off. Then done one with the 11th board and just updated my most recent which is a tenth non extend with a blue LED 13th board and a boba fett style paint job. Oh cool the aztec is my favourite 9th/10th style.

I can't really afford any metal replicas, at least none that have electronics, and I'm far too shaky to handle too much soldering, but I've got a lot of 3d printed ones, either gifted to me, bought from places like Etsy or I found people who offered to do customs for cheap (got super lucky) I've got an 8th doctor sonic, 3 9/10's, and an 11 that I'm still working on, adding an led and the claw springs soon when I figure it out, I'm totally bad at it. Had to hand paint most of them, my best 10th sonic that's a static non electronic one I hand painted, with custom black/grey crackle paint and a gorgeous chrome paint, and used blue nail polish for the emitter with a lot of sealant to solidify it, gives it more of an authentic look. Gonna definitely invest in a new print of the 10th I found that's almost dead on, as close as I can find with the few tweaks I made. Will finally be a fully sturdy, durable and electronic screwdriver that I'll aim for near enough screen accuracy, same/similar crackle paints to the real props and a smoother chrome finish for the metal areas. Looking forward to having a solid sonic screwdriver collection on a moderate budget

That sounds like a nice collection you have! It's great that you've been able to find 3D printed replicas and customize them to your liking. Adding an LED and the claw springs to your 11th sonic sounds like a fun project, even if it's a bit challenging. Don't worry if you're not the best at it, the important thing is that you're enjoying the process and making it your own. Investing in a new print of the 10th sonic that's almost screen accurate sounds like a fantastic idea. It will definitely add to the authenticity of your collection. It's great that you're aiming for sturdiness and durability with the electronic screwdrivers, as it will make it even more enjoyable to use and display. I'm sure with your attention to detail and the tweaks it will turn out fantastic. It's wonderful to see that you're building your collection on a moderate budget. It just goes to show that with a little creativity and resourcefulness, you can still have an impressive sonic screwdriver collection! Nearly one year later and oh boy I've got a big update. Found a listing for a wand company sonic for a decent enough price, only things wrong are the dead battery and no charger cable, but both are easy enough to rectify. I wasn't gonna buy it but my tax refund came in finally so I could bite the bullet. Found a guy doing metal bodies for wand company sonics on Etsy and now I've got that on the way. Tomorrow I'll have a wand company sonic and within a month (due to the order backlog) I should have a full metal replica wand company hybrid. Can't bloody wait. That's a life goal there, a metal sonic replica, and it's the remote too, how cool is that 😭😭

I really wish people still made good prop replicas other than Rubbertoe. I've heard CT is rapidly decreasing in quality, leaving pretty much just Rubbertoe. Either way, I'd never have enough money to buy a good replica anyway. XD

Yeahhh... well the thing is when filming a video I don’t like to cut...like at all so it’s a single take the whole way through usually. Sometimes during a video I’ll make a mistake like knock the sonic over or something like that and because I don’t like to cut, I have to start filming again from the beginning. With the collection videos it’s a lot harder as there’s multiple sonics rather than just one or two and I’m pretty sure when I was filming this video i made a few mistakes so i had to start over again quite a few times and I think by this point i was just worried about messing up and having to start all over again for like the 5th time ahah so I guess I was a bit nervous. 😉

Well to be honest, I'm not too sure you'd be able find a replica without paying more than £200+, as even the Wand Company Remote versions sell for anything upwards of £250 nowadays. I'd suggest just keeping checking eBay
