I can't remember the name of the skill, the one that shoots a beam in front of yourself. If you use it in a room that's right of a boss room atop an elevator you can enter the room use the skill kill all the like 12 small enemies with that one skill. Levels you up so quickly as you just leave the room, re enter use the skill and repeat. I got to level 70 and I knew the difference. Sorry for the very vague description I haven't played since it was released.

I liked Momodora decently enough, but you talking about lack of getting stronger throughout the game makes me not too eager to try this game out.

10 hour playthrough, good price. Solid gameplay, solid artwork. All around good.

Momodora 4 was imo the better game. It had more depth and a overall more enjoyable backstory (which in large parts could be found through item-descriptions). Also I think it was slightly more challenging and had less cheap shots. Also it put a bigger emphesis on the metroidvania and exploration aspect.

I really appreciate the variety of scenery in Minoria, and I felt like this review could have shown more environments. There's more than the dark ones shown here. But nice review!

Momodora: Reverie Under The Moonlight is actually the 4th game in the series, btw. (So... Minoria would be like the 5th? Except it's not technically in the same series.)

I like that leveling didn't break the game. Removed the urge to grind, slowly do you gain more max health

its beautiful and interesting but some enemies are way to OP and leveling up is pointless because you gain 2 HP for every level you gain but enemies do +1 damage too so really you never get strong enough to survive no matter how much you level up you will still get kiiled in 2 hits or less no matter how much you level up. this is stupid to me. Who thought its a good idea to make enemies do MORE damage when you level up? Fire that guy...

Most scaling rpgs do this, the west in particular has a lot of scaling rpgs.

A lot of games do that, it is quite normal. Including Skyrim and Breath of the wild. If you progress in a non linear way through the game, enemy scaling to your level/progress is needed.

Games like these are played for their difficulty. I didn't find it challenging in the least. Never had to grind for levels and never felt underleveled. Great game.
