Massage seats are the way 2 go. & your can change out batteries in 5 minutes with a NIO. My choice is NIO hands down...let's go NIO

I just saw almost 15 occupied Tesla charging stations at my local mall and a bunch of guys waiting around with coffee twiddling their thumbs. With Nio not only do you get unlimited access to membership hubs (Nio houses), but you also get BaaS

I own 2 Model 3 myself and I think the ET5 is the clear winner. Because of options/price but I think you forgot something very important for the European market: There's an ET5 Touring with a large boot. As soon as this arrives in Switzerland I'll swap my 2 Tesla's for ET5T's for that matter. Although I think the ET5 requires a facelift. It should be getting the ES6 interior with the Heads-up Display. Cheers! ;)

Seems the price difference puts the Model 3 ahead of the ET5. Even though I think the ET5 stats are impressive. I’d pay the extra for a Nio.😁

I would definitely buy the ET5 over the model 3. Reasoning, I still have the fear of battery degradation. I do not want to spend over $40K on a EV and have the battery fail after my warranty is expired. Then have to spend another $40K for another EV or $20K for a battery replacement. Heck no…. I am a person that keeps cars for long periods, 10 to 15 years…

Great video! But you forgot that with Tesla autonomous driving is not standard, so another 64 thousand yuan should be added to this price.

You forgot to mention SOFTWARE......Tesla has a HUGE advantage.....this is a key factor to consider.

Important info missing in the comparison: camera resolution, # cameras, computing power TOPS. ET5 is still superior

In Europe, the new Tesla model 3 starts at 45.970 euros. The ET5 with 75 kWh starts at 62.700 euros. Is a difference of 16.730 euros, which is already quite a bit. People with a smaller budget will stick with Tesla. And with a larger budget will opt for the ET5Touring (starts here at 63.900 euros). The regular ET5 probably won't sell well in Europe.

Appreciate your work. Tesla build mega factories at multi locations worldwide. Is there cost advantages otherwise over capacity of Ev not sold very enough. Price cutting to fulfil up mega facilities (at the same time trying to kill competition) could be a double edge sword. Sub brands need to fast forward, slow down on Nio houses and swap stations (unless location cannot miss) and focus on current models (upgrade if needed) to get deliveries profitability and free cashflow asap. Nio brand awareness and sales effectiveness and efficiency top priorities. More products and services can be introduced into existing Nio houses to support one million Ev (double shift ) output. Avoid over capacity and over models too. Where are the large orders from state organisations and large group with big vehicles fleets. I remembered Nio or founder have invest in a cab sharing platform or co. Amen om mani Padme hung

I'd probably still go with the Tesla, though et-5 does sound impressive. Cheaper, incomparable software, plus company is too big to fail at this moment in time. The Lidar and radar sensors on the ET-5 are sounding like a red flag too imo.

Why NIO only sell a few thousand of the ET5 per month? It seems they are much better than the Model 3. Something is not right, don't you think?

The tesla is the clear winner, in every possible way, I have never seen a line up at supercharger where I live. I supercharge once a year tho. And I have the RWD Y, why would anyone buy NIO unless they preferred the styling, Pick just about any location do a 3000km trip see how NIO works out. When will those swapping stations scale when most auto industry is adopting the NACS? Remember tesla had a swappable battery originally and decided to not move forward as on a larger scale it didn’t make sense. On top of the Pain of not having swapping stations anywhere you are paying more for a inferior vehicle and ecosystem. Why would anyone want a battery over 100kw ? If you have to supercharge the odd time you will be there for 10min and move on. Yes if you are in San Francisco there are line ups but any road trip plenary of stations are available with no wait times. Also tesla shit Just works can’t say for others. Buying a nio is like deciding you will go with android over iPhone and paying more for a Motorola running android OS

the beauty of owning a nio is you dont have to worry about battery degradation as you can just swap out your battery at anytime, plus you are somewhat future proofed as you can also upgrade the battery anytime you want.

@@monkayjim999 why worry about battery degradation ? If it lasts you 100K km it will last a million, LFP battery will outlast the vehicle 3 times over they can last a Million Miles with LFP most See about 10% to 15% degradation. 15% on the high side for vehicles with 500k,km. If you want a new battery it can be obtained for $18 to $22k USD. But in most cases battery outlasts the vehicle. Yes the structural pack will be possibly more difficult if at all possible. But who cares based on what I said above. NIO is very unproven as of yet. They are doing great things and as long as the Chinese government supports them they will prosper.
