I would love to see a reset counter - to count how many times the counter is reset and calcualte the likelyhood of an injury per cycle.

If I had a dollar for every episode in this series that had a scared echo on the thumbnail due to catastrophic, unforseeable, and horrendous things happening, I'd be a millionaire. I think. I can't count.

Those rads are why I picked up a Rad Eater duplicant to be the dedicated Superconductive Asteroid worker. Having a naturally higher absorbed rad tolerance is very handy if you have to work in the vacuum of space because inside the planetoid is molten lava. Now if only he didn't need food.
@XaqNautilus2 жыл бұрын
You can also get multiple tungsten volcanos on that planetoid. One fully buried higher on the planetoid and often 2 partially buried in the core. If the core is magma, then they can be hard to use but on my latest playthrough I had a frozen core with 2 tungsten volcanos and I got over 100 tonnes before they even melted the core.

Super fun episode. I love that planetoid. It really is a smash and grab. Put 2-3 tiles above the ladders to prevent radiation sickness? Even one almost halves the rads. And radiantion sickness is not a workplace injury. Haha.

Sweet! A new episode! Just a heads up, you might want to consider putting an insulated tile next to the obsidian on your shaft down to the tundra biome. When it is exposed to any gas, it will start massively conducting all the heat from the lava it touches. Then again you probably know that, you taught me most of what I know about ONI hahaha! I Hope I didn't sound condescending :)

A roof over the rocket and the work space would have saved you a lot of pain from sunburns and radiation. Also turning off the atmosuit check point to deliver the metal while in the suits prob would have helped. I never got a magma planet with such an easy access like that tho. Very nice. looking forward to see your ideas on the tree tho. I never had a very good one. Perhaps a little spark may happen next episode for me.

I def whiffed on not putting a roof over. You are right, would have saved some pain (and cycles).
@ahmataevo2 жыл бұрын
Niobium is a real pain because none of the conventional tamers work, it solidifies into tiles at only 50kg and will easily choke itself out. Anything other than insulation insulated tile, a pool will eventually melt anything, no exceptions. The only tamers I've seen that get 100% output are glitch pumps, door pumps or dupes on the planet with pitcher pump tamers.

Regarding niobium overheating the rocket - why not dump it into the frozen core and then sprinkle some water on top of it? This will instantly flash nearby ice to water/steam and cool off your precious debris :)

Would have been another good method.

I had a problem with niobium bringing into the space capsule.. my bug was the second that I did it everything in the capsule heated to melting point... Instantly everything broke due to heat... I had to take the niobium and make temperature shift plates outside deconstruct them as they bring the 45° material back in... After doing that I learned that I was not going to bring my hundred tons back home lol I did about one ton and brought it home cost temperature shift plates take 5 cycles to make lol!

I wonder why people over complicate magma.. where the Duke is it a suit it could actually swim in magma for a little bit before it even starts to get hurt... That's strategy you had to make a lava liquid lock it's good but it is not really necessary.
