Could you please teach us how to better time our counter moves? I want to try and perfect doing takedown with fists mid stance without getting damaged at all.

@@PooferLlama thank you much obliged i've also seen some players don't even need to counter but just approach a human enemy out of ki and then perform a takedown move. what is up with that I thought it requires countering?

Could be Battering Ram or Izuna Drop; I'd have to see footage to know exactly what you're referencing. There's a lot of things Fists can do to enemies out of Ki.

Actually it seems like it is possible to block "too late" I've tried with tapping the L1 button for super little frames and still ended up blocking instead of timely, it looks like it's slightly before it hits, rather than at the last moment (I might be wrong but that was my impression) EDIT : I'm using Kusarigama btw (and obviously have the first skill for timely guards unlocked)

Yeah, timely guard is a bit earlier than the last possible moment

Speaking of timely guards, is it possible to do it in yokai form? I know that odachi timely guard skill can parry almost every enemy in the game, but does it work in yokai form? Is there a such a thing as parrying while being yokai? I think I have seen a video where something like that is pulled of against some bosses. Keep up with the great work Llama :)

The closest thing is Fang Break in Brute Yokai Shift.

Does the Extended timely guard window stat on gear affects the opportunist skill? Or does this stat only affects backwave from sword or bolting boar from odachi?

Seems to only affect skills similar to Backwave.
