Remember reading about coasters in my teens and the trouble they were in.This is an awesome story!Nice to see fisheries recovering.

I still have an Imhof fly in my collection. Must be from 30-40 years ago. Ran into him on the Credit fishing for Rainbows. Simple wet with a body of red sparkle like dub (back then it might have been seal), and a black wing and tail of marabou, I think.

Awesome show! Thanks! I wish that we had more catch and release areas here. They seem to be stocked one day and emptied the next. Not a lot of wild trout because of that.

Watch a documentary called artifishal. Yeah its spelled like that. It shows how stocking is a net negative and is basically a government racket. Big shock there.

I was taught lake baikal in Russia is the largest cold water lake in the world

Depends what is meant by "large." Baikal is much deeper and is much larger by volume. Superior has far more surface area.

Lake Baikal holds more fresh water than all the great lakes combined. It has a maximum depth of 5,371feet whereas Lake Superior is only 25% as deep. It is the world's oldest and coldest lake. 80% of it's animal species are endemic. Oddly enough, the largest lake in the world is the Caspian sea.

I've practiced catch and release most of my fishing life. I catch a nice fish and then immediately release it into the frying pan. Can't get any greener than that.

Ever tried eating them? They are amazing table fair! Nothing better than a nice 15-16 inch sea trout we call them as we catch them straight from the Atlantic Ocean

Great video. I like jacks energy. Just a thought, you say it’s an intermediate sink line, but then you say it’s 6ips. Intermediates are 1.5-2ips. Then you says it’s a sink tip line. Just a little confusing. Love the underwater footage.
