Nipple Piercings | My experience. Do’s & Dont’s.

I got them thangz pierced & it's been a struggle. I'm obsessed with them. Both piercings are definitely high maintenance. I've had 18 piercings in total, Lost a few. Your nips need to be coddled - the most difficult piercing to maintain by far.
How mine became infected:
I sleep on my stomach, stomach/side/leg bent. I initially caused trauma after sleeping for 10 hr. I woke up feeling well rested but obviously felt soreness in my nipples. about a week later, I wore a bra that was adjusted at to high of a level. I came home from work and let my girls lose and felt sore. I ended up with inflamed lymph node in my left breast - Medusa ( my problem child). I freaked out and wanted to save them with the intentions of getting them re-pierced. Im holding off on piercings til the MRI is done. Hopefully my nipple piercings wont close upon removal
What I did:
Fell down a reddit rabbit hole and feared needing to get a mastectomy. Booked an appt. with my PCP and went to a walk in clinic, requested antibiotics.
-Cephalexin - qid 1wk .
-Warm compresses q2h when able to.
- Saline soak bid
Im getting an MRI to address pre-existing concerns prior to hitting the road.
- I need answers and peace of mind.

I began my journey with piercings and tattoos when I was around 16. Im cold with a paint brush & a box of crayola's. I debated on becoming a tattoo artist at some point. Art is my language - Forever an outlet, never a phase...
The areas I'd like to get more ink on, are areas with eczema. I really wish I could get more ink, but i'm happy with what I've had done. Hopefully living in a warm climate will provide relief for my condition, & allow me to work on my tattoos/ complete the removal process I began on my neck 5 years ago.
- Or even better, just get another neck tattoo - I love them.
