The Shinjuku business district looks so damn hot in a rainy night. Honestly, compared to the soulless and boxy marunouchi/otemachi district, Shinjuku looks so much cooler, oldschool-like. The building are all a bit older, most were built between the 70s and 90s. But each of them is so much taller and iconic than the new bland and generic tower of Tokyo station. Like the twin tower of the government building, the cocoon tower, the opera tower, the amazing shinjuku park tower, and all tall tower we saw I don't know the name of. The avenue are large, lots of tree with a big park next to it I went to during my last trip. And then you got the light and neon disctrict and some quiet and cute neighborhoods... This place is just wonderful. To me this it Tokyo 's most beautiful business district. I don't really like marunouchi even though all the building are more recent. However though, I love the 3rd new business district Tokyo is actually developing which is Toranomon hills and Roppongi hills. The new aezabudai project with that supertall 330m tower will look incredible among all those new building and the Tokyo tower! And I like it so much how the white colors looks blue in your video, it makes them so unique!

Wonderful as usual. I was in Shinjuku my second night in Japan and it was the 3rd ticket that I bought in Shinjuku station that was the correct one to get me back to my hotel. Busiest station in the world and one of the best anyplace for wandering. Always feel like I am in a Murakami Haruki novel or maybe Scandal by Shusaku Endo...

ah, the metropolitan buildings....my airbnb was on the opposite side of where he was....across the park. the view at night was fantastic and waking up to those 2 big buildings and then taking the train in the morning to head out....felt like a local. if my english teacher applications go through and one company picks me up, i'll be a local of japan one day!
