ഞാൻ നിരീശ്വരവാദിയായത് കൊണ്ട് എനിക്ക് മതവിശ്വാസത്തിനോടോ ദൈവവിശ്വാസത്തിനോടോ ഒരു പുച്ഛവുമില്ല.. സത്യത്തിൽദൈവവിശ്വാസത്തിൽ നിന്നും മതവിശ്വാസത്തിൽ നിന്നും പ്രേരണ നേടി ലോകത്തിൽ സമത്വം കൊണ്ടു വന്ന മാർട്ടിൻ ലൂതർ കിംഗ് എബ്രഹാം ലിങ്കൺ എന്നിവരുടെ കഥകൾ കൃത്യമായി അറിയുകയും ചെയ്യാം.. പക്ഷെ എല്ലായിടത്തും മതം വിളമ്പുന്ന, അവരുടെ ഭാഗം ഒരിക്കലും തെറ്റാവില്ല എന്ന് കരുതുന്ന എല്ലാത്തിലും വ്രണപ്പെടുന്ന വിശ്വാസങ്ങളെ പരമ പുച്ഛമാണ്.. വളരെ polarised ആയിക്കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്ന ഒരു ലോകത്തിൽ അവരുടെ മത വിശ്വാസം അവർക്ക് തന്നെ വിനയാവുന്നു എന്ന സത്യം അവർ മനസ്സിലാക്കാതെ പോകുന്നു.. സഹായിക്കണം എന്നുണ്ട് പക്ഷെ ആര് കേൾക്കാൻ.. ? :(

Muslim കുടുംബം എന്നാൽ എന്താണെന്ന് അന്ന് തിരിച്ചറിഞ്ഞു. എന്നോട് വീട് വിട്ടിറങ്ങാൻ പറഞ്ഞു ആദ്യം. എന്റെ Educated ആയിട്ടുള്ള അമ്മ വീട്ടുകാരാണ് എന്നെ രക്ഷിച്ചത്. അവർ സംസാരിച്ചു എന്റെ father നെ എങ്ങനെയൊക്കെയോ convince ചെയ്തു. ഇപ്പോൾ എന്നെ ഒരു അന്യ ഗ്രഹ ജീവിയെ പോലെ കാണുന്നു. One of your best blog! Great! I was / am always confused between atheist and agnostic from 9th standard , from 1973. I normally identify with Neil D’Grasse Tyson’s views rather than a little aggressive view of Richard Dawkins or Sam Harrison. Now post 60 I like to be a little more active , since the conviction is much more than as a teenager. But I realised cultural background cannot be erased and not needed too. Cosmology is also trying to answer the same fundamental questions what religions are trying to answer. Cosmology is a branch of science, so rather follow its path than.

Practising religion should be confined to individuals. If someone wants to practice, let him do. In India quite often it become political issues. People in different developed countries also practice religion but they never make it a topic in public discourse or been used to divide the society. Swami Vivekananda's famous quote is there -- "“Astrology and all these mystical things are generally signs of a weak mind; therefore as soon as they are becoming prominent in our minds, we should see a physician, take good food, and rest.”

I was reading gulliver's travels the other day and I couldn't find a non-cliché analogy for book 3 of it. After watching the first couple of minutes, I got it. Like if the world is full of people who believe in the same thing, how boring and anti-developmental it would be. Like if the whole world gives priority just to maths and science, it'll be depressing. This whole thing reminds me of a quote from the movie dead poets society "medicine, law, business, engineering, these are noble pursuits and necessary to sustain life. But poetry, beauty, romance, love, these are what we stay alive for."
