i agree. dream language. perfect and personal words to everyone but to everyone its meaning is different, thats big medicine, strong poetry magic. 😀

@@ryankilbylicious It is very good but the contrast between the greatest of John Lennon's output and some of his worse 70s output is quickly apparent. To be clear: I'm comparing her to John Lennon, not Foo Fighters. This is a masterpiece, but it's already not as good as "Sawdust and Diamonds."

@@gibberconfirm166 I'd say it is at least as miraculous as sawdust and diamonds.

I really don't think there has ever been a songwriter that has come even close to Joanna's talents. This is one of a handful of songs she has written that are entirely untouchable; a devastatingly beautiful, lyrical epic. She is just unlike anyone else. Beautiful.

And Emily i saw you last night by the river, i dreamed you were skipping little stones across the surface of the water, thrown in at the angle where they were lost and slipped under forever, in a mud cloud mica-spangled, like the sky’d been waiting for a mirror. Anyhow i sat by your side by the water, you taught me the names of the stars over head that i wrote down in my ledger. All I knew of the road the universe were those Pleiades loosed in December. I promised I’d set them to verse so I’d always remember.....MOTHER OF GOD

But I hope that someday, the two nations will be wise enough to reach a peace agreement and live in peace side by side (because together it does not really working) and Palestinians will come to Tel Aviv to see performances and Israelis can see shows in Ramallah.

Probably because when she recorded this song her voice wasn't ultered by surgery that she had to undertake. Therefore, she needs to find a way to phrase the notes similar to how she could when her voice was more...strange? But probably more amazing.
