That “I like you” at the end of the chorus is what makes me love this song, so amazingly sung

Kurt was one of a kind,, if music wasn’t a thing and the first rhythms heard were these ppl would consider him like Mozart or van goh,, and dude had some of the best lyrics too,, more poetic than Edgar allen himself… but since music had already been invented he just gets bracketed of into a certain category of it,, but I’m reality he/they were fkn amazing so many songs are good,, shit better than good if anything,, usually ppl just make like one or two good songs n feel accomplished. He was also kind of an activist,, like when that girl got kidnapped after one of their shows… somebody else would have tried sweeping it under the rug but naw he actually had a benefit concert for that situation. Goddamn Courtney love ruined him lol,, like his suicide not had two types of writings on it like ok than.. ppl make it seem like “he was clearly depressed” therefore wat investigation but yea man. Lord knows,, for a career cut short he actually accomplished quite alot. Making us quite somber muthafuckas look good again lol RIP Kurt Cobain!!

One thing i always loved about Nirvana's music was Kurt's execution of harmony. This song in particular displays good use of it. Lyrics, I never knew what the hell this song was about as a teen until many years later. My guess was co-dependency in relationships. He had a way with words in this one. A lot of what sounds like dirty love making.

bruh i just turned 17 when this broke, being at that age, still so young with no real worries, but old enough you and your buddies are driven age, goin to shows every week, festivals, being that age 16 to say 21 ish at the time, we were real gen X, the slackers, we made sure the whole culture shifted and washed away the stank of the 80's and brought about voices to be heard, we young, angry (most of us for no real reason lol) and wanted to be heard and thats what nirvana did, and were in the middle of it

I always loved this song as young kid. And now, in my 22 years of age, with a meth addiction, i completely understand and take relate to the lyrics. "A teavel through a tube and end up in your affection" "Chew your meat for you"- metaphor for your body eating itself for nutrients. (Why we get skinny) "With eyes so dilated ive become your pupil"- aside from being a great double entendre; its also a common occurence for us drug users 🧐 This guys sont writing is, rip Kurt unparalleled

Hope you kick that, not to be judgemental dick. Even if no one around you sees your worth, if your written word is any indication you are stronger than you think, honest, and intelligent. I hope for days of true happiness for you in any form that benefits you and brings you love and joy. Of course so easier said than done but even if I'm just an overtly unwanted opinion from a random, may you be healthy, happy, whole and successful. ❤️

@Anton Shamatienko It has different meaning. "I'm like you" or "I am like you" means that i am same as you (comparing yourself to other person) while "i like you" means that you like other person.

Anton Shamatienko Liking someone is not being like someone......... being like someone is mirroring their actions or discovering that the two of you are similar and one does not always necessarily like people who are similar. liking somebody is liking their actions and not necessarily mirroring/copying/mimicking those actions.
