It's a unplugged concert it's best for them to be quiet so they can hear the song
@brettcarlson54503 жыл бұрын
This is how concerts were always supposed to be. Either small venue crowds or silent patient audiences. The Beatles stopped playing concerts because the crowds became so large and loud you could never hear the music. Playin in a stadium is overrated. That is not real music. This is how its done, or as i said, a small venue. Even if a small venue is rowdy and loud you can still clearly hear the music. Never understood the appeal of massive venues for music. The sound becomes distorted. You lose to beauty of the voice and it just becomes a singer and a band trying to play louder than the sound system and fans. Which is why the 90s unpluggeds are the greatest lasting library of art imo

Its crazy to me to see the pain in his expressions and just know he was escaping while singing, and the moment the applause comes in he feels trapped again. The chello was such a smart addition. She underlines the generally somber statement of the song bringing a melancholy contrast to the peppy bebop groove. This brilliant composition expresses to me so well the magnitude of depression and the effect it has on self esteem and perception. It completely clouds the mirror with a self deprecating numbness that makes it difficult to recognize and name emotions. You forget how it feels to be happy so when it occasionally visits it feels foreign. Irrational thoughts fueled with substance can spontaneously take over leading to tragedy. Such was the case with Kurt. I wish he would have given himself time for the cloud to clear, hangout out on it, get through the hangover, mend and see the truth hiding beneath. You can see the ocean of beauty in his eyes when he glances up singing "I have a light". Like a shooting star, a brilliant beautiful light gone in an instant, way to soon with too much left to say. Lesson learned....TBC. Conspiracy or not, I hope he found the peace he so desperately sought, somewhere in the light, happy. ♥️🎶

"Skin the sun, fall asleep, wish away, the soul is cheap, lesson learned, wish me luck, soothe the burn, wake me up." Kurt hope you have found some comfort in your eternal sleep. We miss you dearly but your songs will live on forever. You've made many people happy with your music and for that we are grateful and will never stop listening. Stunning performance. When we were younger my older sibling played this every day without fail for about 2 years.. every day after school it went on until the VHS tape started actually losing its color and becoming unplayable. Great to go back and revisit now and still hear it sounding better than ever. Fantastic that they got to record this Unplugged performance before Kurt's passing. Just goes to show how many different styles they could of pulled off if they wanted and kept going. Every album has such a mix of styles but all held together as sounding like Nirvana because of the songwriting and the voice. Phenomenal band that just got too big too quick for Kurt to be able to handle it but I'm sure a part of him was happy as well knowing he made an eternal impact on music and left behind a great collection of work.
