A very rare Nirvana demo from 1991. Recorded at NOB Radio Studios in Hilversum, Netherlands. It also features many rare photos of the band. Please note, this song wasn't titled by Kurt.
Here's my interpretation for the first few lines of lyrics:
When I have a hand
When I have a hand
When I need a rest
From all that I've had
I know that I've had
Comin' to her sin
When I know I've had
Lend a helpin' hand
And I'll help herself
When I ya
When I ya
When I ya
When I ya
When I ya
When I ya
When I know I'm there
When I smell her stare
I know no one breathe
Send my soul right there
Sell my soul right there
And I'll know I'll be
From all that I have
When I know I have
When I have a plan
When I ya
When I ya
When I ya
Tonight ya
Tonight ya
Tonight ya

I've heard this song many years later, but you always think you've heard every Nirvana song, then another pops up. It always amazes me, I grew up to Nirvana in 92. I use to rock out on my guitar to Bleach for hours. If you grew up during those days no on can take it from you and Kurt's memory will be forever buried inside of you. The first time I heard that he died, something inside of me and millions of other teens then died. Music isn't like this anymore and its a real shame. Music corporations have drained the spirit from the fans. But there is a underground movement that is so strong coming from the web that if they wanted, they could swamp this bad music we hear about and give the world back good music. It's amazing to see kids today loving Nirvana, their parents my age grew up to this music, good for you, keep liking good music.

My school set up counseling sessions because my ex girlfriend offed herself over his death. There were a lot of kids that showed up. To deal her loss as well as Kurts. I had no idea she even liked him, like I did. We were broke up for about a year, just a childhood romance. I heard this wasn't uncommon. A lot of schools were having to do the same thing.

If this hadn't been a one off improv (I'm pretty sure) it could have been the Downer/Endless Nameless/Gallons of Rubbing Alcohol... of the next album. I wonder what would have been on that? You Know You're Right, the missing electric version of Do Re Mi? I could be all hopeful and say Talk To Me, but I think that would have been unlikely, seeing as they hadn't played it live in a while.

This band had so much more art up their sleeves. Listening to WTLO, they had some really interesting demos that I wish could’ve been presented as produced albums….how great that could’ve been. Rest in peace Kurt Cobain. Big respect to Dave Ghrol and Krist Novoselic. All really captivating musicians.

If you listen closely on a cleaner cut, you can hear someone in the background reply saying "yeah, six songs". I'm starting to think that little snippet of Opinion on Montage of Heck is from this session.

I'm glad they played this song "for the hell of it", I mean could you imagine if they never recorded this, then we would never know how amazing it was, well unless they played it at their shows....but you know what I mean. Ahhhhh I love this so much.

Sappy is actually the correct title for that song, Krist Novoselic has verified this. There's another song that was recorded during the Nevermind sessions called "Verse Chorus Verse" . Some people speculate that Kurt re-named Sappy using that same title around the the time of the In Utero sessions, but nothing has been proven, so its safe to just call that song Sappy and be done with it.

god how haunting the studio sound was in the beginning of this when kurt was just talking. Hearing him rustle though papers or even sniff. then my name is also Chris and he said Chris when I looked away from the screen. He is still rocking somewhere. RIP kurt.

It's "I stand horrified", in reference to a song with that title by Daniel Johnston. And I think Dave Grohl said it but it could be Krist.

Cool thing about Nirvana is the coolest thing about grunge; it’s just heavy sped up alt rock using Eastern chord structure, like a distorted Miserlou. The sound belongs to the masses and so many amazing bands use it. Melvins, Jesus Lizard, TAD. Later on bands like McLusky and System of a Down used them very well. Be your own dog, of course. Write your music your way. But punk, surf, garage, gypsy chords. These things are amazing tools for anyone.
