There's been a hundred comments complaining that this is the album version. Of course it is! This is their attempt at a music video. Notice how their stuff isn't even plugged in? They're lip syncing. Do you complain that all of the other music videos use music from the albums?!? Anyways just pinning it here to clear up any confusion.

That's a brilliant video for very much one of the best Nirvana songs ever (and some of their best feedback moments too). Can't believe I didn't see this until now! 😲 Always loved the lazy hazy approach and the thuddy chuggy heaviness of this track!

Cool “music video” for the most abrasive yet strangely catchy song on “Bleach”. Definitely one of the top five songs on that album. BTW, whoever the sound engineer or producer was who recorded this song, they should have won an award for “Most Gloriously Grungy Recording of the Year”.

Even though the song is so different from teen spirit, this video is that video's precursor,: the smoke machine, Kurt's hair and demeanor, the slow motion, the cinematic focus on the drums, and the overall aesthetic. As amateurish as this video is, it is a testament to how solid their vision was, even at this early stage. Also Paper Cuts is a SICK song, fucking haunting.

Nirvana did it first and look at how cool their first drummer was. :’) rocking out on the those drums with that 80’s emo hair cut. Kurt and Kris just so chilled out it’s beautiful. They will always be that natural original organic band, if anyone were to ask me what’s my favourite nirvana song you know it’s gonna be paper cuts mate.

This reminds me of a gig I played with my first band, we played in the middle of an arcade. I think we actually had more people at our gig than this radio Shack Nirvana show. Lol. Seeing all that 1986 Lloyd's and Sony stereo and AV equipment being sold as brand new state-of-the-art stuff is hilarious. And who sets up in the middle of radio Shack to play? Kurt. Lol

Nirvana - Paper Cuts [Lyrics] At my feeding time She pushed food through the door And I crawl towards the crack of light Sometimes I can't find my way Newspapers spread around Soaking all that they can A cleaning is due again A good hosing down The lady whom I feel maternal love for Cannot look me in the eyes But I see hers and they are blue And they cock and twist and masturbate! I said so (x3) Nirvana (x6) Black windows of paint I scratched with my nails I see others just like me Why do they not try to escape? They bring out the older ones They point at my way They come with a flash of light (Alt: They come with flashing lights) And take my family away And very later I have learned To accept some friends of ridicule My whole existence is for your amusement And that is why I'm here with you! To take you with me You're right Nirvana (x8) .
