It’s crazy how a different drummer can change the vibe of a song. Both Dave and Chad have an interesting and unique twist on the song that is cool to hear
@bigbowlowrong4694
@bigbowlowrong4694 Жыл бұрын
The little changes Dave made (two bass beats between the snares in the verses instead of one, swinging the eighth notes on the closed hi-hat during the verses instead of playing them straight, longer snare rolls in the lead up to the chorus, open quarter note hi-hats during the chorus instead of closed eighth notes) make all the difference though. Dave made it sound more dynamic, heavier and groovier in my opinion. Not to mention the backing vocals Dave supplied, which are the icing on the cake. People who don’t play the drums just hear the intro fills and think Dave played the whole song exactly the same as Chad, but there are definitely a few subtle changes that make a big impact.

It pisses me off that the rock n roll hall of fame didn't include and induct Chad Channing with Kurt, Dave and Krist. Chad was in the band during the time they had to work the hardest. Being crammed in a van touring the country with no money, etc. He was there for the toughest times helping the band make a name for themselves. Who cares if he only played on one album, his contribution went beyond that.

Cally Quinn I see. Well, personally to me the Bleach era was the best, I love that raw sound in general and the overall tones they used... I like it more than the production of In Utero. I don't think any of the albums had a production that I considere bad or anything, but I have my preferences. As far as the different drummers they had, I think all of them were very good. I don't exactly prefere one over the other. But Dave has that amazing stage performance and delivers so much impact...

That’s why Chad did all of the drum parts. And Dave done most of the re record version of the drum part and I was like wow 😯 this is the best alternate version of in bloom ever. An alternate version in music typically refers to a different rendition or variation of a song or musical piece. It could involve changes in instrumentation, arrangement, tempo, or even lyrical content compared to the original version. These alternate versions are often created for various purposes such as remixes, acoustic versions, live recordings, or special releases.

Why are people surprised Chad Channing is in this? This was recorded in 1990 for Sub-Pop, a record company in Seattle. Dave hadn't come into the band until after this song was made. Yeah, they probably were high for most of their careers, but i don't think whilst filming this they were, that was just weird ole Nirvana. Personally I love this music video, it shows how happy Kurt was before the fame blew up Nirvana, they're just being themselves, whereas in the newer video of In Bloom they're just going against society and what they think and being sarcastic [which i love, it's what i do as well] Looking between the two videos i see a significant difference in Kurt's mood and it's saddening.
