I get it lol although not an equal image or feel. Kinda like saying, here idolize drugs and depression, and by the way dont let the pain and suicide creep in lol shew. I love nirvana, but it's not the message I want my kids to adopt, even though I dont think it translated negative to all. The Beatles were a stretch for role models at times but for the most part conveyed happiness and peace, nirvana not so much, self loving, and push back against norms, at all cost, just very depressive in all the best ways if you can understand it, many didnt.

@@darrylatkinson6007 even though this song is one of the more simple ones out there by Nirvana in a lyrical sense, the effortlessness, even unconsciousness with which he still makes beautiful puns and contradictory statements is fantastic. and even then there are subtle hints hidden about heroin: "I got so high, I scratched 'till I bled" (heroin makes you itchy), "I'm on a plain" (pretty self explanitory), "my mother died , every night" which may be a reference to the worries Kurt's mother had for him (or vice versa). overall this is a song that is much more lighthearted and relatively optimistic, with Kurt showing self love while also feeling guilty about it. you'd almost say he wrote this while high, but we'll never know.

@@matt-SonsofLamech First, if you’re gonna have a fair argument and you wanna seem like an individual who knows what he’s talking about, have some proper grammar and punctuation man. Like the lack of apostrophe at don’t, and the fact that don’t is there at all instead of didn’t, you seem like someone who knows nothing. But that’s besides the point, you don’t need to be a fancy solo writer to be considered lead. I don’t know where you heard that, but that’s not what lead is. The fact that the majority of their career didn’t feature another guitar player, and Kurt did play solos (though quite mediocre), means he was the lead guitarist.

I'll start this off without any words I got so high that I scratched 'till I bled I love myself better than you I know it's wrong so what should I do? The finest day that I ever had Was when I learned to cry on command I love myself better than you I know it's wrong so what should I do? I'm on a plain I can't complain I'm on a plain My brother died every night It's safe to say, don't quote me on that I love myself better than you I know it's wrong so what should I do? The black sheep got blackmailed again Forgot to put on the zip code I love myself better than you I know it's wrong so what should I do? I'm on a plain I can't complain I'm on a plain Somewhere I have heard this before In a dream my memory has stored As a defense I'm neutered and spayed What the hell am I trying to say? It is now time to make it unclear To write off lines that don't make sense I love myself better than you I know it's wrong so what should I do? And one more special message to go And then I'm done, then I can go home I love myself better than you I know it's wrong so what should I do? I'm confident that Nirvana is the best, and most important rock band since Nirvana. Other, perhaps more impacting acts in rock history exist (e.g.; The Beatles, Elvis, The Rolling Stones, Led Zeplin, Eagles, Credence, etc.), but you have to go back to BEFORE Nirvana to find them. Since Nirvana, we've had nothing of this magnitude.

I have a theory on why so many people dislike this concert. 2 actually. 1. Kurt seemed super focused and because of that the songs sound so much like there album versions. ( With exception of Love Buzz ) 2. They just don't like Nirvana and love to thumb down and talk shit about them. Me personally I love this concert, but it's not in my top five favorite Nirvana concerts. It's no where nearly as nasty and raw as Rome91, The Paradiso or the Paramount just to name a few. And those raw, nasty and energetic live performances are what I love most about Nirvana. To me that's what set them apart from everyone. But this is still absolute greatness. Fuck they played Lounge Act. That's reason enough to love this concert....Hardcore fans will understand where I'm coming from. ( I hope)

Kurt's genius is some piety from past lives, so the level of Nirvana cannot be repeated, just like other great groups. Great music cannot be compiled mechanically from a set of some terms; it, like beautiful flowers, always arises unexpectedly where it was not expected. Technically, many can play the same way as Nirvana, but almost no one is able to compose and perform such songs. They are both melodic and powerful in presentation and filled with great sadness. Another distinguishing feature of great talent, when he plays, it is clear that he is completely immersed in music, he does not think about himself or the public. It is impossible to learn this self-forgetfulness, this is talent, it either exists or does not exist.

This show is INSANE!!! I wish I could be here :( I recently discovered a band that sounds like this, but in a modern way, search "Tasmania - No brainer" and give your opinion. Hope you like it!

Lyrics: I'll start this off Without any words I got so high I scratched 'till I bled I love myself Better than you I know it's wrong So what should I do? The finest day That I've ever had Was when I learned To cry on command I love myself Better than you I know it's wrong So what should I do? I'm on a plain I can't complain I'm on a plain My mother died Every night It's safe to say Quote me on that I love myself Better than you I know it's wrong So what should I do? The black sheep got Blackmailed again Forgot to put On the zip code I love myself Better than you I know it's wrong So what should I do? I'm on a plain I can't complain I'm on a plain Somewhere I have heard this before In a dream my memory has stored As a defense I'm neutered and spayed What the hell am I trying to say? It is now time To make it unclear To write off lines That don't make sense I love myself Better than you I know it's wrong So what should I do? And one more special Message to go And then I'm done And I can go home I love myself Better than you I know it's wrong So what should I do? I'm on a plain I can't complain I'm on a plain I can't complain I'm on a plain I can't complain I'm on a plain I can't complain I'm on a plain

I’m so hooked on this song. I’m going through hardship I left my wife and my daughter in Vietnam due to the Coronavirus now I’m in Sydney and my parents kicked me out so I’ve been homeless for 2 weeks. Nevertheless God is with me and this song always makes me feel better. Nirvana is the best band in the world

@@nicolot4652 You're talking real crap. Grunge killed fucking boring heavy(thrash) - metal. But when grunge fade out there came brit and punk later. So swallow your words back.
