This is the first time I've understood how controlled Kurt's vocal technique was. I always believed he was straining/shouting and giving it everything. He makes it look like that in so many performances. But here, before the "proper" cameras roll, you can see the same signature sound, but it's effortless e.g 2:42. His whole apathetic anti-musician shtick was genius, because beneath it was a real depth of skill.

And to dress up in the clothes and live the lifestyle. It would be a great act. But lord knows how many dudes tried it after Nirvana hit it big, and I feel like we saw through every one of them.

During the most successful times of these fellas lives was my worst years growing up. I lost my dad in a car crash in 91 and 92 we moved to a new school district where I was bullied and picked on constantly, it was my knowledge of drawing that saved me then. Though I do not miss these years growing up, I do miss the music scene. Especially when these guys took off cause they helped bring in a whole new genre of music.

I think it wasn't so much the new genre, but just Kurt's charisma that made everything explosive and fresh. We wanted to identify with this scream. While Kurt had a tendency to mix genres, it's a shame that early 1992 was the beginning of his end. Because maybe it would really be something new.

In 8th grade 2002 I had my friend with a computer and fast internet burn me a DVD with all Nirvana stuff and I watched SLTS on SNL 1,000 times. I was obsessed. I want to know why this took so long to come out. Also I pray there is secretly some 35mm film of Nirvana to scan in 4K. Like the Heart Shaped Box music video clip that's in HD from a documentary. Bruh just give us Smells like Teen Spirit 4K scan already, don't care if they have to re-edit the vid, there are tons of 4K 90's vids like Alanis Morissite (Ironic) or David Bowie (Afraid of Americans) they look stunning, mind blowing in 4K. Perhaps the film stock burned in the Universal Fire?
