This is great. It sounds like a Stone Temple Pilots song, IMO. They went in a poppier direction in their later years and Kurt and Scott were supposed to be at the same rehab facility but Kurt jumped the fence before Scott got there. I could see them recording this one together.

I think you are looking for the person who edited the music. Butch Vig did nevermind, he made songs like Smells Like Teen Spirit, Come as You Are, In Bloom sound the way they do. Compare the album's tracks to the demo versions and you'll see what a good job he did. Check out Steve Albini as well, he worked on their tracks also
