I couldn't find many songs similar to Black Flag, however this song fits exactly: Nirvana - Tourette's (In Utero) More Punk styled songs from Nirvana: Nirvana - Very Ape Nirvana - Molly's Lips Nirvana - Turnaround Nirvana were heavily involved with TAD (1). Kurt Cobain also roadied for the Melvins. The thing is that no one can keep that kind of Black Flag energy going for more than a minute per song. So the way a lot of grunge songs are structured, is that they have roughly a 3/4 Black Sabbath slow buildup and a 1/4 Black Flag payoff. Henry Rollins about Nirvana and Grunge in 1992. Nevermind is Nirvana’s most ‘pop’ album, and Territorial Pissings is the only song on this album that is straightforward punk. Bleach is dark, slower, and has more like a groove-metal vibe. Incesticide is kind of like punk, heavy, more pop-influenced collection of songs with some dark sounding stuff towards the end of the album (Beeswax, big long now, aero-zeppelin) In Utero is kind of seen as their quintessential raw heavy/abrasive album.

As far as NEVERMIND goes this is 2nd album from nirvana, 1st with dave grohl and 1st away from subpop... As far as the sound of the album, Cobain intended for the album to sound like a fusion of mainstream pop bands such as the Knack and the Bay City Rollers with heavier rock bands such as Black Flag and Black Sabbath. While Nevermind is considered a cornerstone of the grunge genre, the album is frequently noted for its musical diversity, which includes acoustic balladry ("Polly"; "Something in the Way") and punk-inspired hard rock

NIRVANA BLEACH, NEVERMIND, and INCESTICIDE were great albums and must haves... Bleach the debut album was recorded for 600 bucks and was written as kurt was pissed off at subpop records so majority of it was written literally the night before recording... Because subpop was forcing them to conform to the grunge styling that they favored.... So all the songs are spewing hate to towards everyone, subpop, the fans, the school system etc...

I think Nevermind is available for purchase if you look around hard enough. 😂🤣 I’m so glad you like this. 99% sure this is one of three Nirvana tracks I proposed you review a year or so ago. Right up your alley.
