I recommend cleaning the floors right before bringing in the slides. A small stone or other debris can scratch the tiles. I dump and flush the tanks the night before and check the oil and air in tires as well. I start the engine to air up before raising the jacks. We use a procedure list, not a check list. By following a set procedure you're less likely to miss anything.

you should get a cap for your hose plug so your plug is protected from the element as well. store your extra hoses screwed together to keep dirt and bugs out.

When you take your hose off, instead of just putting them in the bucket were water will gather screw the two ends together. This will keep any water running out and keep any critters getting in the hose.
@NIRVC4 жыл бұрын
Great suggestion Dennis! I will do that next time. Thank you so much for watching your videos and for sending in your suggestion.

You can screw one end of your hose into the other so water can't leak out of the hose. That's what I do.

Nice video series. Noticed you pulled up the jacks before ensuring the airbags were full. I do the opposite in case pulling up the jacks would result in hitting something around the coach. Is there a specific reason you pull the jacks first? Btw thinking of storing my Ventana at your Vegas location this winter.
@NIRVC4 жыл бұрын
Justin, it is always best to check your owners manual and see what the manufacturer recommends. On the Entegra Cornerstone it is recommended that jacks are retracted first then I air up the coach to get it to ride height and then I retract the slides per the manufacturers recommendation. There is a very low tolerance for the slide to go into the square box. If the jacks are down when I try to take the slides back in that box could be out of square or off a little. Therefore, I always bring in the slides after retracting the jacks and airing up the coach. Let me know if that makes sense and if not please email me at angie@nirvc.com and we can discuss further. 😉 Have a great day!

why pull the jacks up first? I would think being the rv is nice and level you would want to bring in the slides before the jacks.ps-your the best,videos very informative and thorough.
@NIRVC4 жыл бұрын
The RV may be torqued a little more than you want to make it level depending on where you are parked. That could cause the box that your slide goes back into to not be square. That is why you raise your jacks first, then bring the coach to ride height to bring in the slides. Thanks for asking! 👍😊
