Hi Angie. Sounds like a lot of work and extra steps, but seems necessary. Protecting yourself, family and coach seems very intelligent when docking. Thanks for the advice.

Thanks again Angie for doing these videos. Picking up quite a few tips from your series. Easier to retain seeing the whole process instead of just belng told how to do it.

I always walk through the site and plug in the EMS surge protector before pulling in. That gives the opportunity to look where everything is and for anything in the site I don't want to run over plus check the power. If I get a fault and need to move to another site, I have nothing to put back. In 40 years, you'd be surprised what we've found in sites.

I carry 2 36" garden shepherd hooks that I drape my power cord and water hose on to keep them off the ground. Reduces a path for bugs, etc.

Another great video. The owners manual will rule but generally speaking, most guidelines state that you should level your RV first, and then deploy the slide outs. If you try to level your RV with the slide outs extended, it puts unnecessary strain on your RV’s leveling jacks which will speed up wear and tear and possibly damage some of the leveling components. Similarly, it is easier for your slides to deploy on a level surface rather than at an imbalanced angle. Extending your slides before your RV is level could damage the retracting mechanisms of your slides.
@NIRVC4 жыл бұрын
Hi Lonnie, it is always best to check your owner’s manual. On the Entegra Cornerstone the manufacturer recommends extending your slides first while you are still at ride height and then putting down your jacks. Thank you for watching our videos! 😊

Enjoy your videos. When wiping off the bugs. I found using a dryer sheet with the water it will soften the bugs and you will find it even easier to wipe them off

...another benefit, with those smart small rubber lists, on the edges, where hoses and cords are in is, that the door to the storage-room of the hose or cord, won't damage those vital things, in the long run, and make hoses leak or break the surrounding cover of the cords, right? (I just try to imagine what it would be like, if those hoses and cords were out, and those lists on the edges weren't there)

Interesting. Most RV manufactures that I have read information from say that you need to have your jacks down before you put the slides out.
@NIRVC4 жыл бұрын
It can vary per manufacturer but with Entegra it is recommended that slides come out at ride height then jacks down. When you go to leave jacks in, get coach to ride height and put the slides in. Always check your owner’s manual first!🤔✅👍

On this model coach IT IS correct to extend slide outs first then engage automatic levelers. Good idea to know what is proper procedure for your particular coach.

Hi Angie, greetings from Europe. I like your video’s. Sound advice and good tips! Q: is leaving a lot of 50A cable on the rol inside the coach not creating excessive heat?

Is there security in the campsite or do we need to install a camera to record what's happening around the RV? You mentioned lots of times the surge protector and water filter are stolen. We might not catch the thieves at least we have a record. Does National Indoor install security cameras?

Excellent set of videos!... Also loved the Wiinabago Factory Tour, and intro for the 2021 View 24D, so much so that we just ordered one from NIRVC. Question for Angie: I think you mentioned setting the slides out before leveling (jacks), is that right? (intuition is telling me the opposite, but perhaps the order varies per Coach?). Thanks again for your informative videos!
@NIRVC4 жыл бұрын
Thank you Leo! Congratulations on your View from NIRVC! So happy to hear that, and so excited to have you in the NIRVC family! Always check your owners manual but typically you want to bring your slides out at ride height. Once your jacks are down you may not be square anymore. So slides out at ride height, then jacks down. When you go to leave you do the reverse. Jacks up, bring coach to ride height and pull in the slides. ☺️
@rickc98734 жыл бұрын
Just wondering, wouldn’t it be better to level coach prior to extending slides. Less stress on slides. Then re level.
