About Nisargadatta Maharaj (1897 - 1981): Birth name: Maruti Shivrampant Kambli. He was an Indian guru of advaita (non-dualism), belonging to the Inchagiri Sampradaya, a lineage of teachers from the Navnath Sampradaya and Lingayat Shaivism.
