No don't wash ur hand then it's not stay long apply lemon and sugar syrup on hand and leg then it's dry and come colour on ur hand and leg after u go to sleep then apply normal bam on hand and leg like vicks vapo rub u apply then see how colour come

Usually brides apply Vicks after providing heat from roti making tawa, keep your hands at a safe height from tawa. Liquid chemicals are also available to darken mehndi. Other persons than bride can apply oil, sugar + water solution with cotton etc . Avoid washing hands with soap. These are tried n tested ways.
