Ended up getting the Nisi V6. Holder is nice, filter are also good but I didn't like the bag that came along. It is only good for carrying the holder and maybe the 100x100 filter. I can't use it for my 100x150 filters. Wish Nisi though about that. Also the cap is very hard to remove.

HI Brett, nice informative video, thank you. If you are still monitoring the questions on this video I was wondering if, as a NISI product partner, whether you know much about their new 75mm system. I shoot with a Panasonic G9 and a 8-18mm Panasonic Leica lens (m43) and am trying to find out if I'd get much vignetting at 8mm using thier 75mm system. I have tried to contact NISI but no reply so thought I'd try here on of the off chance. Many thanks in advance of your response.

Hi Brett Thanks for your review. Its really helping to understand and properly use this kit I just bought the kit in holland. I have a question: When the app has to work out the shutter speed with a full ND filter, the normal shutter speed i s the speed with eventually (when you use one)a polar filter and /or a a graduarte filter. Is that a correct assumption? Greetings Henk
@BrettWoodPhoto5 жыл бұрын
Hi Henk, thanks I’m sorry but I don’t understand what you’re talking about.
@cyphermote68575 жыл бұрын
Henk, considering it is landscape photography and the minimum filter on the lens will be the polarizing filter, yes - the assumption is that the "base" or "normal" exposure is with the polarizing filter. Considering how it is fitted into the system, my assumption is also that it stays there almost all the time. My guess is that the app uses any exposure as the base ... the key probably is it knowing what exposure you have and it will let you know the adjustment settings based on the additional filter you want to put on (e.g. the 6 stop in his demo). Brett, please correct me if I'm wrong... Cheers.

Thank you for your demonstration. I am using tokina 11-20 MM lens for landscape photography. Suggest me please wheather this filter holder with 100 mm square Nishi nd filter on my tokina 11-20 lense can create vignette on landscape photography yes or not. Thanking you , Dr. Dipankar Howrah , India

@glennking89585 жыл бұрын
@@sharnyo FYI - I called Nisi and they told me that I was over tightening. Their suggestion was to put the holder against the bottom of my shoe for leverage. Of course I said, "are you serious"? What do NiSi filters do that the Cokin Creative Filter system couldn’t do?
@snowwalker99995 жыл бұрын
They probably last longer or maybe have less colour casting.

A significantly better system than Cokin in all aspects.
@slowlyrusting40445 жыл бұрын
The majority ( if not all ) of Cokin filters are made of resin. Nisi filters are made of optical glass. Cokin filters also have a HORRIBLE color cast.

Thanks for the Review, Brett! I prefer the new M10 filter holder from Haida. The way they implemented the polarizer as a slot-in filter into the holder is outstanding. I've seen nothing better than that in the market in terms of ease of use being operator friendly.

I use the V6 with a 10 stop filter there is 1mm light leak top and bottom, the grooves holding the filters are poorly made the walls between each groove is very thin and when the filters are inserted in and out they won't last long before your filter starts to slide, they cut to many corners to save manufacturing cost. I found it a very poorly designed update would not recommend. The V5 holder is much better and did not cause any light leaks, the grooves to hold the filters are much stronger and longer. Newer isn't always better.

Looks good but little pissed. Only just received my NiSi pro second gen kit. Which on veterans pension. Is a kick in the guts as it came Dec. surely they should be sending out the new one especially the pro kit second gen pack. As I love there filters. Yet that’s another big hit to my pension after a large layout. And wider and better weight. They surely new it was coming I would have held off. As the things are factors I do have problems with. As I’m on veterans affairs pension for ever now and this is now more therapy than making good money. I see Samsung are selling there new phone and free upgrade when Bluetooth 5 comes out. Come on guys. If it was a yr or so old ok. But a couple of goes max while another problem heals. I’d love to hear something back on this from them.?? Probably the only person in Pottsville NSW to have ordered one the end of the yr 12 Dec😎🇦🇺
