NISI are outstanding filters and I fully recommend them......Just so you know......they do an Explorer range which are meant to be more sturdy so if you're not convinced by their glass grad filters.....check out their explorer range......the natural night filter is great......youll love it........also.....should mention that the ND filters produce next to zero colour cast

Marc, first I’ve taken the long exposures class. Loved it but for that class I did my research. I bought the Nisi system and I love that too. I’m so glad you did this video. It validates me buying the Nisi system.

I just ordered a circular screw on 15 stop filter of theirs and can't wait to use it. Only £51 in their black Friday deal and without VAT, as we don't pay VAT here in the Channel Islands. One thing I would say and I've not tried it myself yet, as I've not been able to try daytime long exposures LOL, but if you used back button focus to focus first, then you add your filters, I guess that would work. As you would only need the shutter button to take the photo. I've decided on using the circular filters, as I've used them on previous cameras and I know there's pro's and con's with both circle and square, but also the main lense I want to use for wide landscapes, the Tokina 11 - 16mm, doesn't seem to have a removable lense hood. 🙂

NiSi Filters are for sure very good and they have so much different filters, but when it comes to quality, I prefer Breakthrough Photography filters. Very high quality glass! Thanks for the share!

I bought NiSi when I started doing the long exposure course, so I can't compare it to other brands. So I guess I invested well. NiSi is a great product. Indeed looking forward to the night filter review!!

I can confirm. I have bought another kit several years ago and I am still very happy. It’s a high-quality product. Honest review from somebody from UK where Lee has probably the largest market share; ;-)

Have been using NISI filters for four years now, cannot fault the system as a whole. Many filter systems have a coloir cast, NISI have bery little to minute of a fraction. As for the glass compared to resin, prefer the glass, just my own opinion, glass as per lenses, you can feel and notice the quality. The night filter works and is extremely good. NISI have been around for a while, again personally I find NISI better as opposed to Lee system or Cokin. My NISI polariser travels with me everywhere as does the rest of the filters. Fully recommended NISI. Paul Paterson Photography

Good review and nice kit. I love the filter system idea and expect the quality is good. But, I have yet to hear anyone explain why it’s orders of magnitude better than screw-in filters and step up rings, which are orders of magnitude less expensive..

My opinion, please don't compare Nisi with Lee: no color cast vs blue color cast, no scratch vs easy scratch; Nisi coating makes it easier to use under wet conditions, easier to clean... and so on, and so on.

It is much easier to clean greasy fingerprints from glass. Glass is also much less reactive to cleaning agents whereas plastic can be damaged by some cleaning products. A review by Nasim Mansurov of Photography Life also found that resin filters can have an adverse effect on sharpness, particularly as sensor resolution increases.

Great review Marc and I look forward to the night filter review. Looks a quality filter system but I'll stick with Lee for the time being.

I don't think it's the camera that'll be your problem , it'll be possible vignetting in your images caused by the usage of wide and ultra-wide lenses ( I had this problem using Cokin Filters )
