Thanks for the support Audomaro! Comments like these make me keep cranking out videos. I've got a live stream tonight at 7pm Pacific / 10pm Eastern on this channel.

This is very high quality. Your production is on par with 500k+ sub channels. Thanks for the video and the knowledge. I'm doing this same swap soon. I'm glad to see how its done.

Appreciate that! Let me know how it goes.

Awesome quality videos man. I wish you did the more normal z32 swap so I could follow you're instructions.
@revmatchtv7 жыл бұрын
Glad you enjoy the videos. I work hard on them! The basic steps will be the same, but it's actually easier since you don't need a special bracket for the Z32 caliper. They just fit right on to the spindle without a bracket. You will use 300ZX rotors and 300ZX brake lines as well. The 300ZX caliper does not use a banjo bolt.

Thanks David! KZbin promotes channels better that post more often than weekly. I'm going to try to get to 2x per week soon.

I'm curious as to why you did cataliac cts-v brakes over the common z32 brakes, was it a cheaper option?
@revmatchtv Жыл бұрын
Yes - very inexpensive with rock auto parts.
@mlcg667 жыл бұрын
Do the pads on the ctsv have hole that the pins are suppose to go through?
@revmatchtv7 жыл бұрын
mlcg66 Yes they do. I don't think I showed that in the video.

RevMatch okay. I just ordered the bracket and the brakes. Was thinking about z32 but these look amazing. Can't wait.

Hi revmatchtv The OEM rotors are 14" while 350z track is 12.75". Using the OEM pads of ctsv on smaller rotor do you mind answering if there is concerns? Brake pad unused in the caliper?

Hey Revmatch, I noticed you did not bend the old hard brake lines. Do they line up with the 95Z BMC?
@revmatchtv7 жыл бұрын
On the S13 they line up. On an S14 you will need to bend them.

I upgraded my s14 with r33 gtst brakes front and rear but the brake booster isn’t working. Available to me right now is an s15 brake booster. Will the s15 brake booster work for my setup?

How did you get the fitting out of the old z32 master? I just noticed the one I'm installing doesn't have one in the center hole either.
@revmatchtv6 жыл бұрын
It's in this part of the video. Hacksaw. Carefully. kzbin.info/www/bejne/m4XMiZh3Z5Zobrsm20s

Why did you go this route versus the common z32 brake swap?
@revmatchtv7 жыл бұрын
I wanted a larger rotor and caliper than the normal Z32 setup for road courses.
@Grainsauce11 ай бұрын
Did you leave the back brakes stock, any issues or differences?
@revmatchtv11 ай бұрын
I left the rear brakes stock

Bryson Dowell Thanks for the support! People seem to watch more of the shorter ones. Part 1 of the brake swap is 12 minutes though. Hopefully I'll have this on track on Sunday

Aren't you supposed to adjust the pushrod to the new 300zx master cylinder?
@revmatchtv2 жыл бұрын
It's been so long since I did this video that I forget. I don' think I needed to adjust it. The brake pedal was very firm and not soft at all. I did have to push a lot of fluid throgh the system though to get rid of the bubbles though since the entire system was essentially empty after I swaped out the brake booster.

Rather than going through the fuss of cutting the fitting out of the old caliper, might it be possible to just buy it somewhere?
@revmatchtv2 жыл бұрын
Caliper? You mean the master cylinder? You can probably get away with just leaving the original one in place.
@matthewstorm51882 жыл бұрын
No, the insert that you had to cut out of the old caliper. I personally would rather just pay a few bucks to buy one somewhere than have to cut up my old caliper (and probably slice right into that insert in the process).
@revmatchtv2 жыл бұрын
@@matthewstorm5188 I'm not really sure what you're refering to. I didn't cut the caliper. I cut the master cylinder to remove the fitting. As I said above, you can install the calipers and use the existing master cylinder and see if you like the feel and avoid this entire step. At the time I couldn't find any master cylinder off the shelf that suited this purpose so that's why I did this video. I have multiple videos in this series all posted in the same year. Here's the first video in the series. kzbin.info/www/bejne/nXmVYZeVpcutbNU
@matthewstorm51882 жыл бұрын
Oops, not the caliper. The master cylinder. I was referring to the inverted flare seat that you had to cut out of the old master cylinder to fit into the plugged port on the Z32 master cylinder. Not sure if you can buy these. But if you CAN, it would be a whole lot easier than having to cut it out from the S13 master cylinder.

Im doing this ctsv kit too but was wondering if you think i should swap the booster as well or its good with the stock one?
@revmatchtv3 жыл бұрын
I swapped out mine for a bigger booster to give match the capacity better to the brakes.

We are pretty lucky in California. It's an Oregon car, but there's no rust on it. I've lived in snowy climates and I know how rust kills things!
