thanks man! those are XXR 962 wheels actually, pretty good looking too. I have Sportmax 962 on my Z now but other than the darker shade of gold that the XXR versions have, they're pretty much about the same wheels. You'll get to see them both in our next video coming up soon for sure! so stay tuned ^_^

great point you have right there man, we've actually had 2 Z31 owners join us in a couple of our cruises & events! while the group remains Z32 exclusive, we appreciate even more old school Z's joining us when they can :D

Amazing video!! Edited really well. You guys look like you were having the time of your lives out there! And thats the way it should be. My friend just bought a 90' 300zx NA. He wants to upgrade to a TT bought and I keep encouraging him to just buy the motor/trans now and start off little by little. But he's too concerned with cost and dealing with the swap by himself; he feels it too complicated. Any suggestions with cost and a "do it your self" swap??

Thanks man, thats my CRP Z... the wheels are XXR 962 :)

thanks man! we we're indeed having tons of fun, every time we have a big group event we all have a blast :D and about your friend...hmmm...well, the average cost of performing a TT swap is around $5k to $6k depending on who does the labor, what kind of parts you get and many other factors. now, would I recommend doing a TT swap? YES...is it worth it? YES the process is too complicated to explain but there's sites like twinturbo,net where you can find tons of information, those guys are gurus!

How reliable are these cars? I'm looking into saving up for a twin turbo model and i'm fine with doing regular maintenance and upkeep for the car but if the turbo's are going to explode or the valves are gonna bend or whatever then I don't think i'll be too interested.
@RossZ3210 жыл бұрын
I've owned my twin turbo Z32 since 2008 and it's been VERY reliable to say the least but I always make sure to keep her well maintained to preserve that reliability. Our engines (VG30DETT) are cast iron blocks so they're pretty tough and can take a lot of abuse. Of course, without proper maintenance any engine is prone to failure. As I like to tell strangers that ask me about my Z: "I take care of her, and she takes care of me".
@derekbutler112110 жыл бұрын
Well that's great to know cause if I do end up owning one some day I will definitely not abuse it. That said I'm not just going to garage it and use it as an art piece either.

it's a more of a gamble when you think about it, these cars are reliable but expensive to maintain so you have to make sure the previous owner did his homework and not just buy autozone & ebay parts because the car WILL let you know when it doesn't like cheap crap lol a good spot to learn a lot about the Z32 is on T w i n T u r b o.n e t, those guys are the ultimate gurus when it comes to these babies :D
