Nissan Altima headliner leaking repair video. Sunroof drain tubes

Your sunroof drain tubes are leaking.Part 1 This is a going to be a 2-3 part video showing how I cleared the clogged tubes. Nissan Altima 2010 leaking in 4 corners of head liner. Very common problem that causes water damage. Please read the video description on the last videos. Maybe dont use metal wire to run down the hoses, it may puncture the hose.

Wow! Thank you so much. I just bought a Maxima at an auction which was in great shape except i noticed the wet carpets. Your 3 part video is the best so far. Getting into the headliner seems to be better than doing the tube from the bottom end in the back.

Thanks a lot buddy. it was my issue. I used a strew in the sunroof inlet to be able to blow air with an air compressor. that worked and water started dripping! I tested the drain by pouring some water on the roof and I could see the water draining through the inlet and running out! excellent. problem solved. thanks again!

My 2010 Altima Coupe, i just noticed the back driver side beige headliner was discolored and damp, I did the front 2 drain holes...now I see how the back is - basically a pain in the ass. ugh. Oh well. Thanks for this, the video helps!

I just bought a siphon hand pump from amazon, filled up a bucket of water then disconnected drained tube thats connected to plug in firewall. Connect the outlet side of siphon to the firewall plug, then put hose from inlet side of siphon into bucket of water. Then just pump away till water comes out from outside of vehicle. I did all 4 corners for the low low price of 19.99 hahaha

I love the red bull and beer comment! But you should also spray wd40 down each drain 2x a year... i usually prefer just before winter and just before spring... but i know the seasons are off by a month recently depending on your location. Good luck.

My 2013 altima is leaking on the passenger side at the top. Only leaks sometimes. I've noticed it much worse or not leaking at all if I'm parked on a uphill or downhill grade. I'm guessing the tube prob need drained. Didn't even know they existed. Great vid. Thx

My 2013 altima is having the exact problem. Only passenger side front. Just started last week, so haven't tackled it yet. You have any luck?

I have neve had water leaking into a sunroof. Why aren't they sealed with the rubber lining. Thanks for the video. My mom's Altima has mold growing in the passenger front side. I wish I looked it up first because I took the rear seats out looking for the leak.

My sunroof drains are clean. Water flows out normally front and rear. I cleaned them just to be sure, but there was no debree. Trunk sides get full of water and roof gets wet in front pillars still.

I already pulled the plugs and cleaned a ton of debris from a couple in the back [trunk] and water flows through. I removed glove box and did the same, then the same on driver's side. Water flows like new EXCEPT there is still leakage on both sides coming from the rear corners right above the mini window and behind the handles -- is that the same fix?

Nice video. I did the water test and my sunroof drain tubes are clear, but I'm getting water all over the driver side floorboard from somewhere else. I have a 2010 coupe. Any ideas?

Hope you found the problem If not check your AC drain hose underneath the carpet

@@yomoms16 The AC Drain is actually on the passenger side and not at all likely to overflow to the driver's side. I'm not saying it's impossible but it is not at all likely that would happen. You can easily check it though by removing the same plastic panel you would pop off when you change the cabin air filter, the AC drain tube is very easy to see at that point and if your ac was on and draining at the time you can also look under the car on the passenger side and will see the drip pretty easily. Hope this helps..

Idk how many times I’ve shampooed the carpets smh 33,000$ and my carpets are ruined. I clear the front ones out thought I was good then it rained. 🤬

My dealer does it for like $60-$90. I’d rather pay to have it done too
