Congrats! Got mine 2 months ago, been very performing great in the Norwegian winter. The ride comfort is just out of this world. Would wish for faster charging but i think thats down to temprature not the car. Usualy im getting 50-80kw in -7c weather
@nissanelectrified9583
@nissanelectrified9583 6 ай бұрын
Yes, surely temperature related, although these speeds certainly seem to be on the lower end of what can be expected. Then again, since coldgating is part car, part charger, it might be "normal". In -7°C, I typically get 90-99ish kW when the car had ample time to precondition the battery (battery heater turned on via the infontainment screen), and the starting SOC is low enough (as you can see here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/an23iqiVe5h5pNEsi=vvcua14CPvyrXss6). But the charger plays a very important role and they do suffer from the cold as much as the car (and depending on the make and model sometimes even more). Since I heard from another scandinavian Ariya driver that he also had charging speed issues, and I read from the electric buses in norway also having charging issues, I wonder if the norwegian chargers are somehow prone to fail in the cold (which would be super weird obviously) or (perhaps more likely) there are power restrictions implemented in winter?

I love this color so much. They didn't offer the top trim in Aurora Green/Northern Lights in the States. Mine is Boulder Grey.
@nissanelectrified9583
@nissanelectrified9583 9 ай бұрын
It's actually Pearl Black, but I just saw them side to side the other day and they are very similar. The Pearl Black has a very heavy metallic component, so it reflects sunlight as much as the Aurora Green, only that it will stay black and sometimes a bit blueish (which i prefer) and not shift towards green and burgundy. But I know a lot of People who absolutely dig the Aurora Green, so I think Nissan has a winner there! The Ceramic Grey (as it's called here) we have on our FWD Ariya and I like it very much as well!

Hehe, great video again and love the Ninja rant. I ordered my Ariya e-4orce yesterday after testing an FWD 63kwh back to back with an Ioniq 5 HTRAC. The Ioniq was nice but nothing beats the feeling of the Ariya in this price range. Will be a tough wait until I get it ;)

On critical details (for me) the Ariya won on waaay better headlights, rear seat space for three child seats, interior design and one step better comfort. Biggest minus was much worse charge point database than Hyundai. I hope Nissan updates to a better database.
@nissanelectrified9583
@nissanelectrified9583 9 ай бұрын
Yes, headlights and interiour are no comparison, it's two leagues above with the Ioniq. Also charging efficency is way better. At least in Germany, Austria, Italy, Netherlands etc., the database is actually very good. What's missing is just a way to filter by charging vendor (like "only Ionity" etc...). Where are you based?

@smurfgudrun iirc there's not isofix in the centre, but even if there is, it would be horrific trying to fit a baby into the centre. Maybe a slighty older child would work though.
@nissanelectrified9583
@nissanelectrified9583 9 ай бұрын
In the larger Nissans like the X-Trail and Ariya, you typically can fit two Maxi Cosis (or similar) with a booster seat in the middle. Never tried three full child seats in Ariya, but apart from super large, American SUVs and large vans, I think pretty much every car in this segment will struggle heavily with that task. Pretty confident that three booster seats would work though!

Congrats! I’m considering to order the e-4orce. I now have the 87 kWh FWD. The only problem I see is the smaller trunk. I’ve really appreciated possibility to use the full depth of the FWD version when going on holidays with the whole family. How do you see this smaller trunk? This is no issue for you? BTW it’s a beauty in black (at least when it’s clean 😅)
@nissanelectrified9583
@nissanelectrified9583 9 ай бұрын
Thanks! Well, if the trunk is still big enough for you...only you can say :D We are three people here and in the end, whatever we put below the floor would also have easily fitted elsewhere in the trunk. If I am transporting bulkier items, I also have them on the upper floor, since the trunk is deeper and I can actually fit more than with the floor lowered (there is a pretty sizable hump behind the rear seats which creates a sort of dead space that is difficult to use). So for me, having all wheel drive was well worth that trade off!

For the UK they would be a perfect fit! They really shine in those temperatures +5 to -5°C, you know, that climate where it is always wet and cold and you get none of the nice sides of winter, only mud and rain, no sun for weeks - all that depressive stuff :D (we do have that over here a LOT in the winter half of the year)

Yes not looking forward to it. I have a few little 'catch you out' hills near my home. Previous vehicles ive used 'Snow Socks' that have worker very well and kept the tyres as standard. For the Ariya I am tempted to try all season tyres. @@nissanelectrified9583

Can you make please a summary of the accesories, is the front bumper improving the aero dynamic coefficiant at highway speeds? Is the back bumper worth it? Thanks
@nissanelectrified9583
@nissanelectrified9583 9 ай бұрын
Will happily do that! I would reckon that the front and rear accents are mainly an optical thing, that said, it looks like the Ariya Nismo will get very similar accents front and rear right out of the box, so there might be some aerodynamic aspects as well. I'll make a video once I pick up the car with all the accessories installed!

Can you turn on Nissan ariya using remote or controlling using remote key fob on narrow parking place ?
@nissanelectrified9583
@nissanelectrified9583 7 ай бұрын
The car is capable of it. I know the Japanese version has it and I reckon the American version has it as well. Over here in Europe, stuff like that is not allowed, so we don't have it.

@nissanelectrified9583
@nissanelectrified9583 7 ай бұрын
Yes, this seems to be a bit of a grey area in the EU, I think Tesla does something like that as well via the app. No idea how they got that approved. But I think its a bit of a gamble for the manufacturers. If something should go wrong, they might face some serious charges. Honestly, the need for something like this is so minimal in Europe. I can understand that this makes sense in Japan, where every inch of space is at a premium and garages tend to be so narrow, that you simply can not actively drive the car in there. But in Europe, it really is not difficult to get a parking space, and chances are, that if you can't get out of your car in a parking space, other can not as well, so you shouldn't be parked there anyways. But I also understand why stuff like that is fun :D I just don't see it as a huge problem to not have it.
