Thank you, helped on the brother inlaws car. Had a bit of an issue, until I threw a nut on the door handle, I thought being loose would help...nope lol! With the nut in place, it fell straight in.

Thanks, I’ve replaced these fir my husband on his 1989 Nissan Hardbody a couple of times, but it’s been s while so I figured take a quick KZbin refresher. I fast forwarded to where you showed the inside of the door, the two 10mm nuts, and the riser with the yellow plastic clip, and said “Oh yeah, now I remember.” The problem with the KZbin videos I followed the first time I did this was that they didn’t show the inside of the door clearly enough, and they had me disassemble to much of the linkage unnecessarily. Thanks for a quick, clear demonstration.

Great video, the plastic height adjustment appears to be the reason why they keep breaking. I don’t know for sure, but I believe the slack in the small bar is important. Now I just have to order a new handle and try it my self. It would be nice if I only have to do this once. Thank you taco Moto.

Quick question there are both different handles correct mine just went out just wanted to make sure I don’t order 2 of the same

Yes driver side and passenger side are different. Make sure when you purchase and it says set. It’s a left and right handle.

Did I hear right? You replaced a handle & it only lasted a week (before breaking)? I'm not gonna even bother replacing my handle then. I can still open it with my finger, just hate that it looks broken. I understand why one side of the handle always breaks. I actually broke the handle on the outside of the car (driver side). Of the 2 levers (attached to the handle), the right side is the one that is actually opening the door. But the left lever just held the handle & moved (didn't actually open the door) & it was very difficult to move (despite being nonfunctional). So the lever opening the door moved very easy & I'm able to get my finger under it & lift it.

Yes Iv replaced it so many times it’s easy for me to do it now. I read somewhere some company makes metal ones but I don’t know what company.
