Great info!!! That little ball on the top of the rocker isn't a bleed check-valve. It's pressed in to block off the hole bored through for an oil passage. There is a tiny bleed hole drilled into the top of the rocker.

I ended up just buying all new rocker arms and rails brand new off ebay. Only was like 250 total for all factory stuffs. No more noise! Was driving me insane. No need to take the chain cam gear off if carful.

I changed the rocker arms and still making the noise dont really know much about this bit what part is the rails?

Are the old rockers able to be taken apart? Like take the lifter out of the arm clean it well and reinstall? Also could I take that center cam tower off clean it like crazy and reinstall to see if there is in fact gunk in the valleys

Yes, they can be cleaned up by taking them apart. The center cap can also be cleaned by taking it off. That is what i did, what good it did has yet to be seen. I was able to drive the truck the last half of the summer noise free.

hey man i just changed my rocker arms but now my truck dont want to start well its turn but then they afterwards. what you think i did wrong?

Did you keep the chain zip tied to the gear?

i didnt but i didnt mess with no timing belt or the crank it stayed in placed. i didnt soak my rockers though. it ran a week ago with the tapping noise now it only runs if i keep the rpms going
