Nissan D21 Navara TD27 Turbo Intercooler install

My 1993 Nissan d21 Navara,
This car was turbo swapped by me at age 15,
I love this car and spend alot of time on it,
in this video i show you how i installed a top mount intercooler,
this would be the same for a terrano or pathfinder of the d21 make.

What sort of torque and power figures are you getting mate? Cant find much on KZbin. Also I've had a fair bit of experience with the bigger TD42 turbo.. and they are very tough. Are these just as reliable? Cheers

The TD27 motors are pretty reliable, my old motor had nearly 400,000 km on it and run with no issues. This motor and intercooler setup is supposed to make approximately 90kw and 240nm but i haven't dynoed it so I cant really tell u, but I know that the stock psi is only like 6-7psi so i will probably end up doing exhaust and turning the boost up to 14 psi but then you need to start playing with injector pump.

Hey I live in the states and my father homebuild two nissan d21s with imported td27t engines and parts one with a factory intercooler before he passed away I would like some information on common replacement parts such as part numbers on water pump, starter solenoids, clutches etc. So I could keep them in stock or a parts outlet that could ship to the states? Hey what did you do with the vacuum lines that ran to the butterfly actuator on my td27 terrano they run back to what look like solenoids theres three of them and 3 vacuum lines running to that crossover part, did you have all that stuff?

You can definitely notice the difference with towing and up hill

I don’t know if you’ve already done this or not but I used to have the same problem with my terrano dying all the time especially cold starts and it turned out to be a metal gauze under the banjo bolt on the injector pump and was blocked up from over 350,000 kms or gunk! Maybe worth having a look if you haven’t already !

@@duncanrock2249 no the butterfly is for shut down control. It has related wiring but doesnt operate with EGR. I took all the wiring, butterfly and hosework out together when I blanked my EGR. About 2 kilos worth of crap and a restriction in the crossover all gone! Ran smoother and a bit quieter.
