Thank you for the vids!! Im a new owner of a 2014 Frontier desert runner with automatic transmission. My questions/ concerns are all about the looming horror stories about the notorious timing chain failures with these trucks. I bought this truck used and it had 98000 miles on it. It runs BEAUTIFULLY for now and I currently have 103,000 miles on it. During start-up in the morning (after sitting overnight) it has a squeal like a belt-squeal sound. Im assuming its the drive belt might need to be replaced but my concern is whether this is a precursor to a need for replacing or repairing of the timing chain. Any advice?
@DavidNaritaYT Жыл бұрын
No you just need a new belt and idler pulley. Belts probably worn out and tensioner loose. Try the belt first and if it's still screaming at you replace the idler pulley

In the description the transfer case fluid is $116 for a quart bruh. I use the Valvoline max life ATF that’s matic S approved for the trans & tranfer case. $25 for a gallon at Walmart.
@DavidNaritaYT3 жыл бұрын
Let me check that out. I don't know why it would be that expensive.
@DavidNaritaYT3 жыл бұрын
It's probably because it's a genuine Nissan fluid. What I'll do is put an alternative link Incase someone wants to use what you suggested.
@DavidNaritaYT3 жыл бұрын
I put a few options to choose from, but I do recommend using oem Nissan oils when you're able to. Other options may reduce the life of your mechanical parts. I've heard of many Tcases failing and now I wonder if it's from using non Nissan oils. Nissan tends to have superior mechanical engineering and they use their own oils for a reason. However i understand if you don't feel like paying more for superior products. Use at your own risk. I assume no responsibility if you use the incorrect products for your vehicles. Yes in these days I need to say that 😂

🤣🤣🤣 I wondered if anyone would notice. The stock photo is old. The Bilstein are on both sides. I just had limited time to get the video together so I used some older photos for reference. Good eye!! 👊🍻
