You have a couple videos replacing the canister.... how often have they gone out for you?

So far so good on the technique I used. I’ve already replaced in 3 times but this time it’s working fine. I’m hoping to get at least a year on that can but it’s basically an air filter for the gas tank. So i guess it’s made to have to replace regularly. I would say a year is good life for the evap can when sloshing off-road in the dust. You have don’t go off-road it should last forever.

Yeah I got tired of the check engine light and the gas spitting out during fill ups. It’s not worth cleaning the old equipment with an air hose.

What is it ? I didn't see what this box does.???????????? I own a 2018 Pro4X F Frontier.

So it’s basically an air filter for the gas tank to let the fumes out so your truck doesn’t explode like a bomb. Theres some kind of vacuum system going on. Long story short, the charcoal gets saturated and no longer vents out from under the gas cap thus giving you a check engine light and gas spitting back out at the gas station during fill ups. You will have a hard time getting gas someday and you’ll know how to fix the problem now.
