Sadly even factory they are slow and laggy as shit. While its not a GTR both my G37 and Q60 have had the shittiest screens--Nissan must be cheaping out on the processing power given to the screens

@@sparkster48 i actually took the software off of it and put it on a raspberry pie and put it behind there aswell so now its 60fps smooth no lag because it has way more processing power issue is tho you need to write a lot of code to have it to work in the car took me about a month to fix

@@sparkster48 i bought my 2013 gtr and the next day i was like nah to slow for me so i went to experiment and it worked well next thing i wanna try is getting a 1080p monitor in thay size and then maybe see if i can get air suspension into the screen so i can get rid of my little remote

This is exactly what I get to do everyday. Car audio has changed drastically the last 5-10 years. Android auto and apple car play is the way of the future. No cars come with cd players anymore, and factory integration is one of my specialties.

Head units with the vehicle specific wiring kits are actually really easy. Colour to colour and then jus plug it in. No hate intended just letting you know it's easier than you think you should totally give it a shot.

I added something like this in my G37 Coupe. Was such a pain in the butt. Edit: You never realize how important car play/andriod auto really is. Projecting your phone as your maps and for music is a must!

Chad Andersen it’s an android based interface. That’s the only reason it has google and KZbin. There are many headuntis out there that are plug and play with google and KZbin etc. they tend to cost a little more but it can be done

Hi Evan, we are trialing a kit at the moment that works for the original Matsushita top screens that come with the earliest GT-R 2009 - 2011. It means you don't need to spend more money and upgrade the radio to the later version to be able to integrate Apple CarPlay and Android Auto into the factory systems. It's a lot more stripped back than what is offered by the Android OS based modules but it also eliminates a lot of the problems caused by simply providing a way to add wireless smartphone integration. If you or your community are interested in having a chat about it let me know. We have a video in our KZbin of the product working in a 2009 Nissan 370z with the same radio.
