Mike T I know this is WAY too late, but for future reference, I popped mine open with a credit card edge. I replaced the battery in about 3 minutes for a 2017 maxima key fob.

I have a 2015 nissan sentra SV. I can open door from the outside with my remote but the exterior door switch works sometimes and sometimes don't. Also sometimes the car will not start if unlocked with the remote, I have to lock the car with the remote and then start the car. would you have any remedies? thanks

I would like to know if your key fob dies and you purchase one online where can you go to get it keyed to your car. This happened to my nissan sentra after 3 years bought brand new. I found one online but did not purchase it, as Michael Jordan Nissan told me they would not key it to my car. I had to buy it from them. yeah, right, I told them not at 300.00+. Finally got rid of the brand new purchased 3 year old piece of crap for a better vehicle. In north carolina I could not find a repair shop that would do it, even though my family member in another state had no problem getting hers done.
