North Yorkshire to Stoke-On-Trent. I recorded what was my first long journey in the Nissan Leaf. 207 miles, including 4 rapid Ecotricity charges and planning etc. Costs and facts near end of the video.

What a fascinating time capsule this video has become! Planning with Microsoft excel before the car did it all itself!

We've had our leaf for a year now, 16000 miles and it's our main car. We're never have an internal combustion car again especially with the new leaf having 155 mile range. Got to say though, we never plan anything to do with charging, we wing it and so far have been lucky 😊 Great vid, hope for some more, enjoy the car.

Had a 38kw Ioniq on lease and handed it back. Now waiting to pick up my used 2016 Leaf 24kw. Rewatching your old Leaf videos with great interest. 😀

Great video, thanks for posting. It's interesting to get proper insights from people using electric cars in the real world as opposed to journalists undertaking a review based upon a few hours with the car

Notice that lots of the Ecotricity charges are empty now they have a cost to recharge but there are more and more chargers available now, which is a good thing! Thanks for the videos, good work!

Good song at the end! Thanks for sharing! Thinking about buying a 2016 Leaf in a month or so. 107 mile range should be less range anxiety.

hey good effort in the video making.thanks for posting. btw how does the mileage act against air conditioning (turned on all along) at summer.lets say a scenario in daily commute.what kind of percentage loss in the range.looking for a general answer since the answer may depend on lot of facts.thank you!

FYI The 'lock' and 'auto' settings don't apply to the rapid charge port. This is controlled by the charger in these situations. It locks while charging and unlocks when it's finished. Charging can only be stopped with your card or if someone hits the big red emergency stop button.

Up to 80% that was roughly 41kw charge rate which is pretty good on the Chademo for that 24kwh leaf. Wish they would use the CCS standard but that won't happen. Any idea if they've put in any Chademo 2.0 stations there? That bumps it up to 400kw rate if it supported it. Looking at a 2016 leaf s right now, hopefully will have it by end of day!

If you keep the car to yourself (for longer than 60 000 miles or smth) use battery saving mode if more is not needed.
