The method needs to be changed, auto cut usually happens due to the foam formed in the brim, when you initially filled petrol, a lot of petrol was filled ~30ltrs due to which the foam formed was also more. Auto cut happened due to the foam and when again you filled petrol, only 4 ltrs were required and the foam formed was also less. Therefore autocut couldn't happen at the right time and more of petrol was required. The difference is just the amt of foam formed both the times. Try with brim to brim method to get the best result.

When we fuel empty tank the fuel dispenser cuts off early as the petrol in tank is moving a lot and touches the sensor early even when there is a lot of space in tank left..... But when you refule the tank the existing petrol in tank is stable enough enabling tank to take some more extra petrol before touching the sensor (autocut)... As per me you have got almost 15kmpl milage .... which is a good milage for a new car....

Ek baat ka dhyan dene wali thi ki. Autocut konsi setting par thi. There are three settings in it. Faster the filling, lesser will be fuel filled because of the bubbles which are caused by high flow of the fuel.

Fill petrol at same Petrol Pump as there are variations in Auto Cut sensors at different Petrol Pumps. Some Sensors get cut off a bit early and some get late. So, Difference can be upto 1 -2 litres which can easily spoil your calculation. For this, You can go 25 km and come back 25 km and get fuel at the same pump. I hope you get my point.

I was about to say the same thing. Auto cut air pressure ke hisab se lagta hai na ki capacity se. Empty tank ko refill karna aur just 50km mein dobara top up karne mein bahut difference hai. Anyways the Ignite looks to be a promising car for indian roads and market. Nice attempt though.

Don't use the auto cut method because some time you may use different type of nozzle pipe of the petrol pump that may differ the quantity of the petrol and it may cause of wrong calculations of the mileage. Use full tank to full tank method that will give u the correct calculation of mileage test...

thr r variations of autocut fuel when u r filling 29 ltrs and 4.5 ltrs... bcoz at the time of 29ltrs... speedy flow of fuel in the tank will create more gas ⛽ and hence autocut will be enforced earlier than actual... some space will be left out for fuel in the tank... whereas when u r filling 4.5 ltrs it will intake little more fuel as compared to ur previous one... so better mark a point at the intake and fill it slowly till that point and try it out... that will give u very close to actual results...

Although you have not properly calculated the average fuel filling must be done by neck to neck filling you need to do this again this was definitely wrong calculation because neck can store 2 ,3 litre of petrol and auto cut parameters could differ with gas stored inside tank

Try it out with reserve signal to reserve signal. As you get the reserve signal note down the reading and fill 10 or 20 lit of petrol and then see how much distance it covers until next reserve signal. Here you need to note down the odometer reading twice and just calculate. It's more accurate than the tank to tank method.

You should have gone to the same petrol pump to get exact calculation, don't ever fill in a empty pump station where there is no veichal at all, because the reserve petrol remaining in the hose pipe can be removed easily without switching onn the pump .

Mileage depends upon number of passangers and luggage weight also. N it also depends upon driving conditions such as traffic or open roads, the fuel consumption due to air conditioning. And in the end it also depend upon driver, if the driver is aggressive on the accelerator pedal n rev engine too much can also decrease the fuel economy.

Tank to tank nehi Tha. Cut to cut Tha. Actual result aise kabhi nehi aati Hai. Jab first petrol Dale the lagbhag 28 ltr, tab usme fena zyada Tha to jaldi cut lag gayi. Next time fena nehi Tha, is liye 4.53 ltr petrol Laga Hai. This car will give 22 km/l after 2000 km in highways. In city 17-19 km/l.

After 1st service original mileage you will know...by the way expecting mileage in city will be 13 to 15 and in highway will be 17 to 19

Bro this is not accurate.. Every pump has its own calibration for auto cut. You should drive at least 200 km and use same pump for auto cut.

It will not give more than 10 in city and 15 on highway. This is not correct way to check mileage. Test full tank till its empty and refill fill the tank check the oddo meter kms divid fuel.
