I want to buy this car, but I'm concerned about service and parts availability in the coming years. Do you have any clue when this car will also be taken off the Indian market? You know Nissan is well-known in India for discontinuing a large number of models within a few years.
@lukemenezesdasilva3450Ай бұрын
It’s very simple, ppl keep saying Nissan could’ve done this could’ve done that, but none of it is possible keeping the price at what it is. The magnite is unbelievable value for money. If you really want sunroof, adas and whatnot, pls go on and buy a sonnet at 2-4 lakhs more.

I don’t understand why people want a sunroof. It doesn’t make sense in Indian conditions. Moreover, people in India often use it for the wrong reasons, like sticking their children out of it. Those who want a sunroof seem to want it more for social validation than for functional use.

I first drove the manual non-turbo variant. Didn't like it at all. The gear shift handle was vibrating. The engine had an annoying noise. Very underpowered too. Then I tried the turbo cvt. This one was good. The engine sounded better, not annoying rattles, just enough low-end torque to go up slopes. In the city it was not as fun to drive as the i20 IVT, but not boring either(I found the Elevate to be boring in the city). I felt Magnite was fine for daily commute. Nothing much to complain about. Magnite Turbo cvt vs Exter SX AMT : + Magnite has better safety + Magnite is more expensive + Magnite's suspension is tighter vs Exter's suspension is softer + Magnite has better mileage - Exter's pedals and transmission felt better - Exter is more comfortable and QUIETER with 4 cylinder engine. - Exter's audio system sounded better. - Exter has dashcam. -Exter has naturally aspirated engine which will last longer.

One of the main drawbacks of the Nissan Magnite facelift and earlier models is the smaller spare tire. For example, a 185/65 R15 spare when the regular tires are 195/60 R16 or 205/60 R16 isn’t ideal. Smaller Spare Tire - Drawbacks: Limited Use: Designed for temporary use only, not for long distances or high speeds. Handling and Stability: Can affect traction, cornering, and braking due to the size difference. Tire Diameter Differences: May cause gear ratio issues and affect speedometer readings. Extended use can wear out the differential. Speed Limit: Many space-saver tires have a speed limit (typically 50-80 km/h). Replacement Priority: Should be replaced with a full-size tire as soon as possible. Full-Size Spare Tire - Advantages: No Limitations: Can be used as long as needed, with no speed or distance restrictions. Better Handling: Matches regular tires, ensuring consistent traction and performance. No Rush to Replace: Can be driven on longer without compromising safety or performance. Briefly speaking, while the smaller spare tire is cost-effective and space-saving, it has limitations in terms of safety and performance. If you drive long distances or in remote areas, a full-size spare is safer and more reliable.

An appreciation for the pioneer in this segment was a great touch. Hope to see them come back and retake their crown. 7:58 Car also competes with Hatchbacks like Wagon R, Ignis, Swift and Baleno, from MS, i10, i20 and Exter from Hyundai and also the Punch. Lower variants are extremely popular for the safety and features. 6:56 Ride and Handling? I strongly disagree. 😅

👏 👏 👏 👏 Superb review Ninad dear. I liked this format dear. All my questions were answered including the last part on service centre spread which was tactfully handled. One thing which Nissan should try is 5 years unlimited km warranty if theyfeel their engine is technologically superior to the Hyundai and Suzuki. That will bring the strong pull but they need to be 100percent sure of their quality and manufacturing process.

"It definitely aren't cheap, but make cost cutting QUITE evident". Same vibe as "I haven't forgotten but just couldn't remember" 😅. Just playing around with words so that Binods ko guma sake. Please avoid these kinda superfluous phrases. You're a car reviewer not a Naaptol seller of some cars. I know, it's business and you can't be brutally honest with opinions for fear of losing out brand review units, event invitations etc but sometimes some things are needed to be called out. I'm saying it because the area where these sisters of Nissan and Renault cut cost the most is the interior built and plastics used. Just for ref, that 5 year old thick bezeled crappy cheap Chinese generic tablet infotainment display hasn't even been upgraded. Press it and you'll start hearing rattling and squeaking sounds. Same with other plastics. This is probably one of the biggest reasons, Nissan and Kiger failed in India. Times have changed. Now, Indians don't necessarily need cheaper cars but more valued cars and 'upmarket feel' inside cabin is something many Indians considered important while choosing a car.
