Nissan Magnite Review in Hindi - Nissan India's all-new sub-4 metre SUV is all set to launch in the next 2-3 weeks, and we got the opportunity to drive it during its media drive. Since we drove it for a brief period, here're our first impressions covering almost all the important aspects including interior, exterior, ride & handling, engine performance in city and on highways, mileage, etc. As far as the price is concerned, we expect it to fall between Rs 6 lakh to Rs 10.50 lakh.

I have analysed 6-7 cars in this range , this car is cheapest among all . The aggressive pricing will make this car certainly a hit and may bring Nissan into competitive market . I'm hugely impressed by this car . Moreover customers need to shift from Suzuki and Hyundai to make the market more competitive , more the competition more it's good for consumer.

You mentioned about early planning during traffic braking, the same issue one may face in i-20, However braking is best level in Toyota Yaris, Nisaan Kicks Both the vehicle have Brake Assist I think xcept Nexon there is no brake assist in any sub four meter vehicle

Thank you for your review Vikas. It's always very informative. In a nutshell, it's a good product for the price but a lot is still desired if they want to remain competitive. Probably Nissan needs to seriously review its strategy for India because outside India they are a reliable brand. I was patiently waiting for their sub 4mtr launch as I did like Kicks but after your review I'll give it another thought.

Read this to know about safety: to all those who complain about tribal platform blah blah blah , let me tell you that safety rating is not just based on how well a car resist collision. It depends on crash avoidance system as well. Polo scored 0 star in crash test without airbag and 4 stars with crash test. Both are of exactly same body and you can see a significant difference just because of the presence of a safety feature. Have a clear insight before concluding anything. I've visited Nissan showroom myself. Magnite is definitely good build sexy machine. Most of these people commenting about magnites build quality have not even seen the car in person. Getting 5 star rating by ncap doesn't mean that you can take your car and crash it against a wall and be safe. All crash tests are done in controlled environment. Even a small change in variables would compromise safety. These tests are simply overrated. They give you only a mere insight. Real accident scenarios are completely different. Now talking about weight of this car, some might complain it's light weight as compared to other cars in this segment. Magnite is few cm short in terms of height and width as compared to other cars in this so called compact SUV segment ( more like crossovers). The decrease in these dimensions are the reason behind less weight relatively. Imagine the amount of material required to increase even one cm. Still magnite has more than adequate space inside and for the car of these dimensions , the weight is just right. For those who wish to consider this car , just visit the showroom and see it yourself rather than reading comments from people who have not even seen the car but bashing the cars quality without proper knowledge. Just follow your instincts.

Kerb weight of Nissan magnite is 1039 kg which is more than enough for a sub 4 m car. Even a 4.5 m cars like honda city, hyundai verna has 1100 kg only. Sub 4 m suv s like hyundai venue,wrv has this weight only. And another thing is crash rating will based on impact resisting beams, roll over bars, shock absorbers, high tensile steel,airbags, safety features. So don't judge by its kerb weight. Reduced kerb weight may be due to the use of high tensile steel, three cylinder turbo engine which increases the mileage and speed.

@@asnkpoojari I’ve driven the Nissan teranno. It was decent but just a rebadged ageing Duster with slight modifications. And also priced higher. I’ve also driven The Datsun Go brand of Nissan. Totally unimpressed with it. Very less power, least comfort. Poor built quality. It was promoted tremendously but could not get in buyers. So the brand needs to give a better product like the Sonet or the Nexon to be in the race. May be Magnite is that car.
