A lot of things are wrong in the video. First of the other vehicle was not stock, second the navara needed different tires and elevated suspension to match the patrol. Third the driver most likely did not remove traction control and was not very skilled on off roading. It's an art you gain with experience and the right equipement. You cant blame the vehicle for not knowing how to use it properly.

does this model have locking rear diff ? if not, is 4L good enough for these hills ? the ground seems like it's really soft ground as well, which is tougher to grip on. If stock tires, that would be a negative as well. I am going to assume he had traction control off, as I've seen other videos with traction off and nissans system still isn't 100% off and causes some slips, No ? I may be the owner of a 2015 by Tues. or Wed. which has 9" ground clearance, but sadly it's a SV w/Pro4x add on pdg, and not the actual PRO 4X trim., no skids and no rear lock, but I don't plan regular hard core off road, but maybe some hunting trails, so I HOPE having 4H and 4L will be good enough. But any feedback from Frontier owners how this vehicles 4x4 system works in 4H and 4L Does it still allow slip and stop power on spinning wheel and help ruin momentum ? I don't think a lock. Fcks.. and this is Why I loved my '11 Santa fe V6 AWD w/locking centre diff. it seems that SUV type locking Center diff. systems is better, because they usually are better at Actually distributing power to ALL wheels and with traction off, I've powered thru mud ruts and up hills on hunt trips with only 8: ground clearance, but with Mickey Thompson STZ A/T. Not their AT's but STZ which are more like Coopers AT-3 tires that are for street too, but were aggressive pattern. Loved them, but they didn't last long in their line up.

you cant expect to take a stock anything and do that without abusing the shit out of it with momentum..momentum and speed is wht breaks everything..including yur step board. you want off roading..get the right parts...your limited slipped differentials is your worth enemy on stock vehicles doing the things your are trying to do. Esteban Aguirre OK I can agree with the Land Rover part - having owned a Landy and 'upgraded' to a NP300 - but the driver isn't inexperienced...no amount of experience would get this stock NP300 up there. Road tyres and stock suspension = hopeless. A measly 2" lift and super aggressive tyres (the lift being critical to fit the bigger tyres into the undersized arches) made the world of difference to my NP300 and I can say it could easily walk up this incline no problem. A good offroad vehicle yes but nothing beats the Land Rover's articulation, ramp over, approach and departure angles!
