Nissan Patrol Y60 restoration | Frame is Back! #22

Finally frame is back and welded. Now the assembly can begin. Already test fitted brake lines and engine mounts. This is so exciting and I cant wait to start putting this car back together!

Hi, was the frame paint 'dipped'. or is the outside of the frame painted only? If inside is still 'raw', get some Waxoyl or something equivalent in there (Schutz?). Will help you loads in the long run! Looking forward to many more episodes!

Yeah the frame is only painted on the out side. I need to clean inside better, because there is lots of sand in there. I will most definitely look in to your suggestion, because inside I will think of in a bit. For now I'm happy with the out side being clean. Definitely I will sort out the inside of frame before driving it on the street. For now I plan to finish frame assembly this year, need to clean up the parts and paint them before putting them back on. And next year I will start more seriously the assembly process. Because I need to see how much money I will have left to spare on my Patrol. You know, priorities :D Really glad to hear that you found my series useful. Basically I'm making these episodes just so I remember how to put it back together and also so anyone can look for part there more interested in for there cars.

The Chassis looks good. Do not use copper for the brake pipes , they do not lust at all. Use stainless steel . It is safer and last longer than the copper pipes.
