Nissan Primastar MK2 2019 REVIEW (2001 - 2014) Worst van I've ever owned

This is by far the worst van I've ever owned. Bad design, poor build quality and horrific road noise. I wouldn't buy another one.

I am happy with My Primastar 150cdi 2009 300.000km in winter with temperature -10 ° it starts at the first shot and does not burn an ounce of oil. an excellent vehicle !!!

i have owned my 2012 renault trafic swb since 2018 love driving it ,, started dayvan conversion took out bulk head got rear tinted windows side bars and bmw alloy wheels then we were hit with covid not got up to doing any thing since, best van ever

you are just hating on an car. as an example no cruse control no ac... you coud have bought all those things but you were just too cheap. also i have an 2003 nissan primastar and i love it.

Got it second hand. Didn't get much choice. It was the only thing I could find within 200 miles, for less than £18k and I couldn't really wait with it being my main role. The point I was making was that the base model by 2011 should have had all these things as standard. I could forgive the 2003 model of even wonder windows but I expect better by this time. Also AC doesn't really improve the TERRIBLE ride quality. It's better in the corners now I've put the 30mm drop springs but the ride quality is just as bad. Also. I don't really have any problem ripping into cars I own myself. This will mean it's probably a more critical look than if I take something out on a brief road test. Given a choice I'd have just bought another Viano V6 at £25k (value at the time) but I'd have to have travelled to the other end of the county to get one. Knowing what I know now, that is exactly what i would do next time.

I find this very useful. I'm looking for a reliable van. Would you agree that Peugeot Expert from 2006 till 2015 is better than the Primastar?

These type of reviews are terrible, what we want to know , is how reliable is it 10 years down the line, the majority of people do not change their vehicles as soon as they need there first mot, both sprinters and transits after 10 years are just piles of rust , sprinter mechanics are the best of any van , what you save in mechanical costs though, you will pay in welding and spray jobs ,up until the point it becomes too much to keep welding

Well, you are not wrong about the sprinter at all. Owned several. Got one now. I covered this in a separate video. This Primastar blew an engine like most do. That probably answers your question. I'm going to be doing a review on my sprinter when I get a chance. I guess the problem I have is I can only comment so much on cars that i have not owned for a few years. There's also another factor here. Whether someone actually looks after a car really does determine how long it lasts in most cases. A sprinter treated poorly (I've seem plenty) will end up a rotten husk in no time if not maintained.

You are making a review of a 2001-2014 van, who dafuk cares about cupholders and plastic dingelings??? Does it drive?? Are there any mechanical issues. Is it relatively cheap or expensive to maintain? (still in a mechanical sense!!) People mostly would emphasize on reliability when being on the market for a 6+ years old used van.. Useless review!!

Sounds like I'm not the only one with the TVP blues. There's a reason TVP owners start the weekend with "front end Fridays" as most owners have to take their van's entire front end off on a regular basis.
