I have to think that people may follow exactly what i do and blame me when it goes wrong. What i put on youtube i have to decide what comeback someone could have. Camera close shots were not included in the video on purpose.👍

@@fiveminuteman I understand and do see your point, but I would say to counter that, so that your able to build your community via good videos and not holding back is , do a simple disclaimer, Stating this is just information etc etc.

@@evieemaya88 that video is quite old and i do now use disclaimers. Receiving abuse from people on youtube comes and goes so sometimes it's wise not to put the risky stuff out.

What can I say? Just what KZbin is best for. Thank you so much for posting. Looked at this before and during the job and made it so much easier. You are right about the clip!! Be good to mention you put the clip on the intecooler pipe, slide it down, then lift each end into position, instead of trying to push the whole clip over in position. Thanks again. Whole job took me about an hour. Would have been 3+ without this.

Glad it helped and the job went well.👍

Thank you for the tutorial! I will do this on mine, maybe next week! Question are they coming out easy? I had a toyota diesel, i snapped 2 of 4 plugs. Is it easier on the dCi? 200.000km on the clock
@fiveminuteman Жыл бұрын
From memory they came out easily, but warm the engine first rather than doing them stone cold. Always a risk they will twist and break. Undo and tighten slighlty then undo and contine doing this til out. Use some penetrating oil. I probably wouldnt do them again as modern diesel engines only use them for emissions. Unless you are in a cold country they dont make much difference to starting.👍

Was there a plastic cover on top of the engine that needed removing also how did you do it with the silver pipe still in place does it not need to be removed?
@fiveminuteman Жыл бұрын
From my old memory plastic tray comes off, didnt remove silver pipe and make sure you donit with engine warm or hot. Doing it cold they might snap. If they do snap even with a warm engine your basically in a whole world of pain and expense. 👍😉

What if you can't start the engine to get it warm before you try and remove the glow plugs?
@fiveminuteman6 ай бұрын
Ger a garage to do it, it's a bit of an art if they are seized in so they don't snap. I won't touch mine now as they been in a long time. Glowplugs are mainly for antipollution these days rather than cold starting, unless you gotta a old diesel engine.

@@fiveminuteman cheers but a Farage isn't an option, don't have the dough, I will just have to soak them in wd40 and go very gingerly, hopefully it won't end in disaster
@grosom316 ай бұрын
@@fiveminuteman so I managed to get them they really weren't that bad I just soaked them in wd40 and put even pressure on them slowly and broke each one loose first then unscrewed them I have heard some horror stories though cheers for the advice though.
