The 2021 Nissan Qashqai is an all-new version of one of the most popular family crossovers on sale. In fact, it was the original Qashqai of 2007 that kicked off the whole crossover class of cars by combining SUV styling with the underpinnings and running costs of a normal hatchback. The second-generation Qashqai of 2013 built on this success to become one of the best-selling cars in the UK.

I bought a qashqai a few weeks ago to upgrade from my 2010 Nissan Versa hatchback. The safety ratings was my first reason, reliability and it was a bit bigger to take my niece and family around to various things around the city. I do feel all the bumps on the road and I find the trunk space okay not great. It rains here alot so when I open the trunk a lot of water slides in. It was expensive IMO for the awd that I chose but overall very happy.

@@dirtydeeds2012 I just got a basic all wheel drive here in Canada. They start at 32,995 which is what I paid for plus tax. Excellent on gas, still don’t like the trunk space but very easy to flatten the back seats for more space. I’m still happy I purchased it even though for me it was pricey.

Impossible not to imagine CarGurus is not sponsored by VW. They always mentioned the Tiguan and everyone who knows how a Tiguan interior looks like would never say that is as premium as a New Qashqai or a Hyundai Tucson. Tiguan is a big, good and reliable car but the exterior and interior look and the tech is way outdated.

Tiguan was rated as poor in terms of reliability in Auto Express Driver Power survey 2021. In fact it was well down the survey for satisfaction all round.

I agree with you. A lot of reviewers put the Qashqai up against the Volkswagen Tiguan. as I am in the market for a new SUV, I have driven both. The only premium thing about the Tiguan, is the price. I thought the standard specification of the new Nissan Qashqai was much better, as was the fit and finish. I really got the impression that Volkswagen are cutting corners, to try and recoup some of the money they had to pay out to customers, over the emissions scandal. I like Volkswagen and hope they get back on track, but for me I am going for the Qashqai.

Why? There's already a full hybrid in the range due out next year and if you want the full electric, SUV type, the Aryia is in the pipeline with the new £1BILLION investment announced on Thursday

with no diesel offerings Japanese made shit move just like others japan car manufacturers (except Mazda)!! Europa is not USA where 1 liter of petrol or diesel are 40-50cent so they dont care if consumption are 20-30 liters per 100kmh

The no diesel thing might just have something to do with the introduction of emissions charging to enter city centres. We are beginning to see this now in the UK, and major cities such as Paris and Berlin are introducing charging for any vehicles producing emissions. In fact I think some are banning diesels from entering altogether..... Things in the US are obviously different, but that's what's happening - or is going to happen - here in the UK/Europe zone......
