It's okay.You get a lot of car for your money.If only the interior were a bit better in quality,but still okay.I would get a Peugeot 3008 instead,better quality inside and better ride quality.Great video Thomas ,keep it up!!

You get what you pay for it. ;) The 3008 is nice but cost´s more. The QQ is a good choice if you don´t need high end. :)

The Peugeot is a Peugeot though. Even though Nissan is semi-French today I would personaly never buy a Peugeut, Citroen or Renault. Just like Alfa they get better and better for each generation - yet after a few years it shows that they're still shit.

This is an Old review -but the the hard suspension issue can be reduced by having 17 inch wheels with standard tires on the car. A great car, at a great price when buying the last generation here i 2021. Great review by the Way👍👍👍
@MrNordlandfahrer6 жыл бұрын
Thanks Thomas! The problem with the suspension is the big 19 inch rims. (Tekna) I have the N-Connect version with 17inch wheels and the comfort is OK. The big aluminum wheels are a terrible trend. By the way: against the Tekna version speaks the big rims and the leather seats. Plus points for the Qashqai are the automatic Xtronic, the heated windscreen, LED front light and the price. Unfortunately, my wife drives only with our Qashqai :)

Yes very good aspect

@richardwilton7224 жыл бұрын
It would seem that they stiffened the suspension for the facelift, thereby taking away one of the Qashqai’s USP’s - that it was comfortable family transport- doh! Perhaps it’s better to specify smaller wheels and allow the tyres to do more of the work. I’ve read that elsewhere about the Qashqai.

Hallo Thomas, jetzt bekommt der Nissan Qashkai ja neue Turbo Motoren, die sogar Mercedes verwendet... Mehr Power und sauberer! Dazu neue Assistent Systeme! Vielleicht könntest Du dazu noch einmal ein kurzes Review machen! Danke sehr! Habe mich bisher mit dem Kauf zurückgehalten, aber nun scheint es interessant zu werden! @KSERGEIBY Is it ancient? Tell us more. There are reasons to have issues with VW after NOX-gate, the downsized engine problems which cost a lot of mid-income people a lot of money and the animal tests. The only reason I have an Audi is because it was so cheap that another option didn't make sense. But privately I'm never buying a VAG product ever again.

Hey Thomas and Autogefuhl, I love your videos and reviews. Can I just make a suggestion, something has been bugging me always - Thomas always gets so pumped up, Full HD, full length , etc.. and then the next "intro shot" is a car slowly driving out or does a pass-by shot at slow speed. I think the mood set by Thomas has to be backed up by some more "underlined" quality of the car in review - if it is a sports car - a high speed pass by, or if it is an SUV some extreme shot offroading or something like that.. you know .. keep the spirits high :)

Driving the previous model myself and noticed no big differences between mine and the new model. The price over here for the top spec trim level is 40k euros and that is just insane. The infotainment system is below average in mine and they did not improve it enough in the new model. It is too slow, low resolution and updates are very poor. No Apple Car Play or Android Auto either... come on Nissan, competitors are doing better at the moment ! Consumption is also poor in mine. I get 10-11 ltrs/100km, driving in the city a lot. Overall the QQ is a good car but it has some issues that this update did not solve. Hopefully they catch up...
@supremeboy6 жыл бұрын
I hope next Qashqai will upgrade infotainment to modern world design and also offer digital display next model. Every other decent compact suv on the market is doing so or plans at least for year 2019 cars. Also the engine is kinda dissapointing 1.6L petrol and 163hp and a bit below 10s to 100km/h is rather average for smaller suv. Only thing i always liked about this car was exterior and package/price offer overall. Sadly Skoda and other compact suv's are offering better now. Great review Thomas always neutral and dotn forget to check door closing sound in future. I liked that alot :)
@autogefuehl6 жыл бұрын
cheers !!
@djoetma6 жыл бұрын
I don't think they will do that if it costs them more. In this price class, most people will just look at whether a infotainment is there. Whether it's good or not, doesn't matter in the end for the purchasing decision. In reviews, a good working infotainment also is just a small part of the whole thing. It's really only in the higher end segments where they do work on it and also use better SoC's (which enables you to make something better anyway). And let's be honest, they didn't start working on better infotainment OS' until quite recently. Personally, I don't like any of the infotainment-options apart from that of BMW, and I've driven a lot of cars (I rent cars quite often because of my job). F.e. I don't like the Tesla infotainment and I think the option of Mercedes with the two screens is mediocre at best. The Volvo is the only one that's decent (6 out of 10), but still not as intuitive as BMW's option. Haven't tried the new Audi one (that's only offered in the A8 I think)that it based on the Nvidia K1 SoC (which is as powerful as f.e. the Nintendo Switch which is based on the same SoC).
@sic22l6 жыл бұрын
Numbers are deceiving, this engine pulls strongly up to 160km/h.
@supremeboy6 жыл бұрын
No one compares lower budget cars to mercedes or bmw. Thats whole other story. We can comapre same car price and segment when we talk about infotainment. Even Thomas mentioned how unresponsive navigation was. Somehow many japanese cars infotainment are kinda dissapointing but in modern world more and more people and future cars will get better media systems. Its not unimportant at all actually l´very important. We can never compare cheap cars with premium audi or bmw infotainment and sound system. However VW group has doen good job for their group cars to improve a lot. Ask any seat or skoda buyer :)
@djoetma6 жыл бұрын
Supreme TW I drive a 2017 A4 and the infotainment imho is rubbish. Also, I wasn't comparing premium priced cars with ordinary priced cars. I said that if it will happen, it will be first in the premium cars, but even there it's just in the real high end, like the expensive iterations of the A8. BMW is an exception, Merc, Lexus, Cadillac, Audi, it's all crap and phones still give you a better experience. Faster, better graphics. Also, it could be that they halted the development waiting for what Android Auto and Google carplay and mirror link options were going to do.

Yes there are. The 1.5 is the diesel and the other one is the n/a petrol. They dont sell every engine in every market thats why u maybe dont see it for yourself

Nice review :) for us brits the 6.6l per 100km fuel consumption works out at around 42mpg which is ok for a petrol engine, but Nissan really do need to up their game with the specifications of the cars. The main issue is that Nissan dont do estate cars in this category, which means you only have the choice of a QQ, but if you want a QQ then you sort of end up with a poverty spec vehicle compared to the competition (Peugeot, Seat etc) which all have better standard equipment levels, and whilst they are more expensive (and hold their value better), to add the options to a QQ would make it a far more expensive car. I hope in a few years when the new QQ comes out, Nissan sorts this and gives a better base equipment level across the range :)
@autogefuehl6 жыл бұрын
Thx 4 the feedback!
@sic22l6 жыл бұрын
6,6-7l per 100km is just reasonable in a SUV with over 150hp turbocharged gasoline engine? That's an excellent result, basically a diesel territory!

I think it better to buy the biggest engine on a small Crossover .If you buy the small engine you end up pushing the engine to get the power . So you end up getting around the same fuel mileage as smaller engine . But as always it depends on how you drive .
@autogefuehl6 жыл бұрын
yeah good point
@ReaperChi3f6 жыл бұрын
The problem for me with the Qashqai is that it wants to be more of a Crossover, rather than an SUV. When a car only comes with 4WD on the diesel and with a manual you can't really say it's an SUV! Why not put 4WD on the 1.6 DiG-T engine with a CVT/Automatic? I mean, all of it's Japanese competitors have an autobox and 4x4 (Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross, Subaru XV and Toyota C-HR)
@Nikos1978BC5 жыл бұрын
hi Thomas/autogefühl team, since now the 1.7 diesel has arrived how do you think it could handle that around corners? i mean do you think the over steer would be noticeable, did you observe it in your test drive at all with the engine you tried?
@autogefuehl5 жыл бұрын
Hm well didnt have that one yet, but it is FWD mainly or AWD on demand so there wont be any super sporty handling. I dont think it will have any more oversteering than other engines though

I like the more sober look of the Qashqai and the extra year of warrenty counts as well. Odd that they didn't just use the same engine as in the Kadjar. But if you want more power, then shouldn't you go past the 15 hp extra, since in practice, that doesn't make much difference? Ergo for a bigger engine and thus the 1.6?

Analog gauges are way better than digital, the manufacturers promote digital ones because they are WAY more cheaper than analog ones... And by the way the word cheap should be substituted with the name Renault in every dictionary ;)
