Can't believe Nissan owner's manual doesn't have this. I've had other cars with cabin air filters and they all had instructions on how to change it yourself. This is so difficult to reach and on top of that you have to google how to change it. Thanks for the video.

Dealership charging me $90 to do this. So funny when I told the dealership representative I can do it myself for cheaper I used to do my Honda Accord air filter by myself 🙃 he looked at me like your a female no u didn’t!!! Lol I grew up with 6 uncles I can change the air filter; I just wanted to hear the ridiculous price he was going to tell me smh

One more thing-I had a sunroof issue where the glass would open 1 inch and stop. Nissan wanted $99 just to look at it!!! I went home and Googled it and found the answer and fixed myself!!! Feeling pretty darn good about myself right now!

Shops have to pay mechanics and cover overhead to work on your car, $99.00 is reasonable for diag. If shops did small jobs for free they wouldn't be in business very long.

Yo, thanks much. A Jiffy Lube tried to upsell me on this part last summer. Now I will try this myself. (I'd change my own oil, too, but I'd rather not perform such a task in a small apartment parking lot while lying under the car that is propped up with a conventional jack!)

Note** The filter should be installed so that the air flow arrow is pointed towards the rear of the vehicle.

Thanks for posting. My 2011 Rouge's AC does not run well. I have to keep it turned to medium most of the time I'm in the car. I took it to the dealer and they said the condenser was full of bugs, whatever that means. They didn't fix it. I'll try this.

Wow ,that was hard to get to, my 2005 Altima was behind the glove box and much easier to access!

Just a note of caution for other viewers. If the vehicle has recently been running, your hands may come in contact with some hot surfaces behind the first panel removed. Nothing that is enough to burn you, just more of a caution in case you get a bit of a surprise like I did!

The cost from shops its the fault of the labour guides we all use not the shop. THe service writer has no idea, just uses what the book says and the two guides I have show .5 to .75 to change it. This one is just a stupid mount. The filter in the Rogue always collapses bottom and top and lets all the dirty air in the car so the filters never look that dirty as your lungs did most the work.

This is a terrible design, my 2013 Santa Fe is WAY easier, it's behind the glove box. I don't think I'm going to enjoy doing this on the Mrs.'s car.
