Now with this new MD I hope things change for the better. Nissan ko ek cheez jo bahut urgently karni chahiye wo hai yeh ki they should strengthen their service and dealership network + pay importance to developing technical expertise and skills for their service centres + listen and find out what customers desire. As a proud and highly satisfied Magnite owner I am immensely happy that there seems to be a solid plan by Nissan for their future in India. Let's hope it all comes true.

Edit 1- I am astonished to see that, they have an amazing portfolio in nearing Asian countries, Also Australia, NewZealand. But they have to stumble in India. Elgrand, Patrol, new Micra, everything, even their Kei cars are eligible as wagon r competitors. What happened to these cars ? Also Our Govt has decided to ruin and harm the enthusiasts mindset and pocket. SO why any OEM from other country would care ? Edit 2- The delulu where Nissan India is jumping happily is amazing. The numbers they have thrown on us peasants are so big, (read 78 lakhs units sold elsewhere and gazillions of investment they showered on an unfertile land where Nissan un-grows itself) that the numbers they are crunching in India (read- 1 lakh units of mono vehicle showrooms over some decades they have been here) is not even comprehensible against them.

Well said!! Nissan/Isuzu/ Toyota are Asias Mercedes/ BMW!! Add Honda to this list too!! But, they are, ' horrible' with NVH, overall quality in Bharat!! My uncle had a Micra, ( Petrol engine)whose steering used to rattle just like a Diesel car!! Same thing with Toyota!! Just check Etios petrol engine rattle, at Signal!! You would find, Maruti engine, has better NVH!! What happens when it comes to workmanship, NVH & overall quality? 5000 people here, 9000 people there!! What is the ground reality? Now, they are pitching with a three cylinder petrol engine? Will Mr. Vats, give a guarantee for NVH, by quantifying it? How much it will increase in one year, five years, & 10 years of usage? Or, as a Bharatiya, these parameters, are for ' developed markets'? ( Just like Bharatiya Honda two wheeler can't be compared with Japanese Honda two wheeler?) Maruti Suzuki has educated us ' Value of money, for years'( that's a Bajaj slogan)!! But, they 'bench-marked' engine, clutch, head light reliability,( Against Premier,& Ambassador car)!! And by God's grace, after four decades, Maruti engines have a market presence!! Will this new product of Nissan, will be a bench mark for three cylinder petrol engine? Can they do it( Save their international izzat'?) Will they 'make in India's, or just like VW/ Hyundai!! Imported? Oh sorry!! CBU means, it's imported!! And Nissan isn't serious on volumes!!

@@SunderdeepSingh I got that, but they are projecting the x trail to be an aspirational vehicle and not looking for big volumes in the sales of xtrail, but there is a potential customer who desires for xtrail and is ready to spend the money So, that potential customer should get the best of the Nissan which is strong hybrid of xtrail, also there are tax exemptions on hybrid tech from govt they could ve availed it and given the potential customers the absolute best of nissan rather than near to best from nissan. Aspirational vehicle should be nothing but the best and close to best is not acceptable considering it to be CBU and there wont be any compromise in pricing.

Paaji you did not ask the question relating to the price. 45 lakhs is not justifiable for this CBU no wonder it’s their newest 1.5 CVT technology. Nissan is happy with their Magnite sales and will be even more happy with the low X-Trail sales. It still misses out on ADAS, Ventilated seats, Sunroof for this price. Also the infotainment looks dated whereas the same X-Trail gets a 10 inch infotainment system in the UK.

Nissan has no Future in India. No product development for India, No innovation. Can't blame this new MD since its a sinking ship. They had a very good looking product in Magnite but they chose to put 3 cylinder 1.0L NA engine in it which was not refined. It should have come with 1.2L 4 cylinder NA engine with a better fit & finish. Without establishing the brand they came to India with useless products.

NISSAN has no respect for Indian customers. Dumping their unsold inventory in India via CBU route. For a 40 lakh vehicle X-trail is not even E-20 compatible, no ventilated seats, no ADAS, no 4wd, a 3 cylinder engine, that too only mild hybrid for a 7 seater car.. NISSAN would be lucky if they are able to sale even 50 pieces of this piece of horse dung.

Incase if they are going to import in CBU 150 X-Trail Units only what about these Cars Regular Servicing, Spares & Maintenance. It could be 2nd or 3rd Car for Status for people who can afford big amount to buy & maintain. Coming to Magnite it does look like a Datsun from front & Kicks from the back. Also their Sales nos. are declining month on month. Primarily because of their poor 1.0 engine with high NVH levels, basic plasticy interiors & poor Service Stn network. Earlier also they have made a suicidal attempt by launching KICKS after gap of 10 years of Sunny. They failed because of higher pricing than CREATA. Unless they offer better Safety & Indian liked feature loaded Cars at competitive pricing. Only than they might succeed in Indian market. With Magnite alone in the local production I have my doubts of the success in India for sure. In India Bada portfolio chaiye to develop that big trust & confidence in the brand Nissan.
