21:30.. Funny you say that. I was a kid back in the day and the S13 1-via was actually my first car and I learned how to drive on it!. Subsequently learned how to drive things sideways as well..😂

In high school I had a '93 240SX, so these cars will always hold a special place in my heart. The foam spoiler was almost hilarious, and the under powered brakes much less hilarious. But man the engine, weight and handling was awesome. Great high schooler car. The kids w/ the SUVs missed out.

My first car was a 1993 honda del sol. LOVED IT. I miss my first car. I wish that I never got rid of it.... I swore that if I ever recovered from my spinal cord injury and can walk again, that I would get another Del Sol. Maybe try to find the exact one I used to own.... I remember being at a car meet, and some people in my friend group made fun of me for being front wheel drive because they were all fans of drifting. And when I said "I can drift your car better than you" they laughed and said no to driving theirs. then i doubled down and said I would drift my FWD shit box. They bet me 20 bucks each. So i pulled out into the parking lot, got up to speed, and started ripping the ebrake to get the rear out. And I, in fact, drifted around the concrete barrier. they were gobsmacked that I pulled it off in a front wheel drive. What they didnt know was that it just requires a different technique. Basically with RWD you slide the rear and counter steer the front. But in front wheel drive, you slide the rear and drive the normal steering line with front. This is because the front wheels "pull" the car so when the rear kicks out, just accelerating forward will pull the rear back towards center aka straight. While RWD if you accelerate you just increase slippage and end up spinning out. So yeah, different techniques. They didnt pay up. Doubling down, whenever we went back road racing, I could corner faster than them yet they all had faster cars. So in straight line they would pull away but i would catch up in corners. I miss those late nights, deadmau5 blasting out my kicker speakers and pioneer headunit with a 12 inch kicker sub sitting where my passenger seat should have been.... Cruising highways, backroad street racing. Ill never forgot those times. Hopefully one day I can experience them again.... Hopefully modern medicine gets of their lazy asses and starts curing people instead of making them sicker....

My favorite car of all time. my uncle used to work for nissan. he got me a box set of exact diecast models in different color schemes. black, white, red, blue. black and white have carbon hoods, red and blue are primary. They were designed to look like drift set ups. The 180 sx twin turbo specifically. literally my dream car of dream cars. i'd cry if i got the opportunity to own one of those dude.

In my day, the Opel Manta was the Euro version of the S13 for the 1980's. Very light at 2100 pounds and between 90-76HP. With a light engine build, headers and a Weber 120HP was available. It was a car with very neutral handling, that was just fun, fun to drive. I'd say the Euro 10 year old version of the S13 from the early 2000's. Cheap, fun and unique.
