the way you did it by assembling first then attaching to the body is much easier then fighting with the springs, great job.

I had a follow up question. Do i need to bleed the brake system after installing the brake shoe?

No,, you only bleed the brake system when you open a line to replace something not in this case

Thank You very much. After watching a dozen videos on this topic. No one explained how to do the rear brakes as well as you. Also, as a heads up. The Nissan Sentra could come with either rear disk brakes or drum brakes in the rear depending on the trim level (model). Not one video I've watched indicated that a Sentra could come with both kinds depending on the trim level. Which as you can imagine caused confusion and I was confused.

Got to give you thumbs up for being somewhat resourceful. The sledge hammer had me laughing good, you could use a smaller hammer and just a spray of WD40 around the hub edge or any break free spray. Got some more good chuckling with all the fumbling putting it together. You could have put the centering springs in first for both shoes then fit your parking brake cable on and then the brake adjusting mechanism. Any kind of grease nearly just lightly on the shoe pad side seating against the dust plate which are 3 of them raised up on the dust plate each side. You got it done which is good. Buy the new springs kit which is not expensive at all for a better, safer reliability. You did good.

OK, nice try, I gave you a LIKE anyways my Brother, just to give you some constructive criticism, you need to go back and put grease the grease between the plate of emergency brake, & any metal-to-metal contact needs to be greased, especially the backing plate behind the axle hub, but first spray it with the cleaner and clean up all the brake dust and then there's little contact POINTS on top and middle and bottom of the shoe that makes contact with the backing plate, put a LITTLE BRAKE GREASE on those points, and then you need to adjust the brakes by spinning the drum, until it barely rubs on the shoe, by turning the star wheel in the middle of the hardware... Then you will be good to go! 👍
